FILM AND PUBLICATION BOARD (FPB)
 
The Film and Publication Board (FPB) is a statutory body, with its main task being the classification of films, videos, DVDs, computer games and certain publications for their suitable age viewership. Our mission is to “ensure the regulation of media entertainment content by empowering the public, contributing to protection and promoting the growth of the industry” and we require the following individuals to carry this forward at our Head Office in Centurion, Pretoria: 
 
CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
36 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT 
Patterson – E3 - Remuneration Package: R 1, 100,000.00 CTC PER ANNUM 
 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Information Officer will be responsible for providing vision and strategic IT leadership for developing and implementation of IT Systems in support of the FPB business operations and requirements in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality and business development. 
 
This post will be accountable for the long and medium strategic development of information systems in line with the FPB Business function. Prepare annual ICT objectives, budget and policies. 
 
 
Requirements
• BSc or BA in Information Systems on an NQF7 or higher. 
• A Post Graduate Degree in Information systems would be to your added advantage.
• Strong Senior Management level skills and ability - strategic planning, performance information reporting, management of Public Sector governance frameworks, financial and risk management, staff management and budget control and project management. 
• Stakeholder Management 
• Internal and external IT environment 
• Emerging technology monitoring 
• Identification of new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies 
• Analytical thinking, with good communication skills (verbal and written) 
• Good interpersonal skills 
• The ability to work under pressure 
• 8 years ICT management experience, of which 5 should have been at Senior Management level.
