PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd level information systems support, liaising with IT service providers, training IT interns, managing and supporting the career portal, and interacting with third-party IT stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
• 3-year Degree/ Diploma in Business Information, Information Technology or equivalent qualification;
• Internationally recognized IT certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, and ITIL will be an advantage.
• 4 years’ experience in the IT field
• A strong working knowledge of IT operating systems, Coding application, business process flow application (Visio) and software testing, use case software, JIRA, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau
• Familiar with SDLC methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
• Literacy in Microsoft Office Computer Package
• Hands on experience of installing IT hardware and software.

KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing application updates and security.
• Participating in the documentation of business requirements, user acceptance testing, and software deployment.
• Implementing and supporting cybersecurity measures.
• Providing support for all IT projects.
• Analyse business processes and recommending improvements.
• Enhancing training and operational procedures to boost efficiency and productivity.
• Working directly with clients to understand business needs.
• Creating and presenting reports to the executive team and shareholders.
• Overseeing implementation projects from start to finish.
• Utilizing data analysis tools to identify impactful insights.
• Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for application system issues.
• Maintaining a register of IT equipment and related documentation.
• Assisting the CIO with IT intern mentorship and skills transfer.
• Monitoring and resolving reported issues on SETA IT systems.
• Preparing documents for training, meetings, or events as required by the CIO.
• Extracting reports for system monitoring as requested by executives.
• Ensuring approved documents are accessible online to all FP&M SETA users.
• Performing daily checks on IT systems to address potential issues proactively.
• Regularly checking the IT systems in Durban and Cape Town offices.
• Maintaining an updated software inventory and ensuring all software is licensed.
• Facilitating IT induction programs for new users.
• Performing advanced troubleshooting before escalating issues to third-party providers.
