YOUTH DRIVER’S LICENCE PROGRAMME
ETHEKWINI MUNICIPALITY INVITES APPLICATIONS FROM UNEMPLOYED YOUTH BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18-35 WITH NO LEARNERS AND DRIVER’S LICENSES TO PARTICIPATE IN A SKILLS PROGRAMME.
APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING: -
i. Matric or equivalent NQF level 4
ii. South African Identity Document
iii. Proof of Residence (must be attached)
iv. Proof of unemployment (from the Department of Labour)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS:
• Applicants interested must be under the age of 35, Not in Employment, Training, and Education,
• Applicants must be South African citizens.
• Provide proof of parent’s affordability (pension, no income)
• Applicants that already benefited from municipality programmes will not be considered.
• Applicants will be required to undergo a screening process.
• Successful applicants will be required to sign a contract with the Municipality.
• Applications must be submitted through the online application system at www.durban.gov.za

HOW TO APPLY
Online Applications process:
Applications must be submitted online by following the under-mentioned registration process:
Step 1: Log onto www.durban.gov.za, and click Jobs. Choose Internships & Learnerships. Ensure that you choose the correct option to be able to see the jobs.
Step 2: Create a User Profile by clicking on Sign Up. If you already have a profile, click on Log In.
Step 3: Once your profile has been created on the system, you will receive an email confirming that you have successfully registered.
Step 4: Once logged in, you may complete and submit your application
Step 5: Ensure that all fields are populated
Step 6: Once you have submitted an application, an email acknowledging your application will be sent to your inbox, so ensure you have a valid e-mail address.
