POST LEVEL 1 LECTURER (TEMPORARY) - ENGINEERING STUDIES - KATHORUS CAMPUS

Minimum Salary:
  • R256 395.00 - R410 565.00 per annum, plus 37% in lieu of benefits.
 
Educational Requirement:
  • A National Senior Certificate (Matric);
  • National Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • TVET Education Lecturing Qualification.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of zero to two (0-2) years’ experience in TVET sector;
  • Registered with South African Council for Educators (SACE);
  • Moderator and Assessor certificate will be an added advantage;
  • Driver's licence will be an added advantage.
Post Description:
  • Mathematics N4-N6;
  • Industrial Electronics N4-N6.
 
Duties:
  • Engage in learning/facilitation as per workload;
  • Assess and record the performance of students;
  • Provide guidance on the latest developments on approaches to the program.

Post Description:
Management Assistant - assisting in all administration and office tasks and duties as assigned, including:
  • Receiving telephone calls;
  • Rendering customer service:
  • Information processing (memoranda, letters, email, internet, minutes, etc.);
  • Filing of documentation and records;
  • Collection of post / faxes and distribution to relevant staff, as required;
  • Data capturing;
  • ITS capturing;
  • Receive documents from various divisions, check compliance and submit it to my office for recommendation / approval purposes;
  • Schedule meetings and take minutes;
  • Manage daily appointments;
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately;
  • Recording of all RTP’s received and updating of spreadsheet;
  • Print the daily attendance register for Procurement;
  • Assist with tender administration.
 
Minimum requirements:
  • Matric and N6 Management Assistant certificate.
 
Nature of appointment:
  • 18 Months.
Stipend:
  • R 4 200.00 per month (stipend).

Minimum Salary:

Educational Requirements:
  • N Diploma / Degree in Ellectrical Engineering.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • N3 qualification inclusive of two languages, or Grade 12/Matric, or NCV Level 4;
  • A relevant recognised artisan qualification;
  • Electrician with a minimum of 3 years' trade related industry experience post trade test;
  • Valid driver's license, and computer literate.
 
Added Advantage:
  • Certified competent Facilitator/Assessor/Moderator;
  • A recognised teaching qualification;
  • Registered with a relevant Professional and/or industry body and/or relevant SETA;
  • An understanding of PLC (Programmable and Logic Control);
  • A knowledge and skills of Electrical and Electronics circuit.
 
Post Description:
  • CoS Facilitator: Electrical Trade.
 
Duties:
  • Facilitation of theoretical and practical training applicable to the Electrical trade according to predetermined curriculums and lesson frameworks;
  • To assess and moderate theoretical and practical competencies of apprentices/leaners in the programme, against pre-determined requirements toward continuous and external integrated summative assessments in alignment to QCTO requirements;
  • To perform administrative and management functions related to facilitator's tasks;
  • Subject Development and Marketing of Programmes;
  • Student Guidance and support, including mentoring in the workplace(s),
