Post Level 1 Lecturer (Permanent): Business Studies

Minimum Salary:
  • R244 884 – R392 136 per Annum, plus Benefits.
 
Educational Requirements:
  • A National Senior Certificate (Matric);
  • National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration or equivalent;
  • TVET Education Lecturing Qualification.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of zero to two (0-2) year's experience in the TVET Sector;
  • Registered with South African Council for Educators (SACE);
  • Moderator and Assessor certificate will be an added advantage;
  • Driver's licence is an added advantage.
 
Post Description:
  • Office Administration PL1 Lecturer.
 
Duties:
  • Engage in learning / facilitating as per workload;
  • Assess and record the performance of students;
  • Manage a learning program;
  • Develop the policy for the program;
  • Provide guidance on the latest developments on approaches to the program;
  • Must be able to teach:
    • Business Practice L2 – L4;
    • Office Practice L2 – L4;
    • Office Data Processing L2 – L4.

Duties:
  • Dealing with telephone calls, making and receiving;
  • Coordination of diaries;
  • Information Processing (memoranda, routine letters, e-mail, voice mail, internet and all meeting correspondence);
  • Filing;
  • Serving refreshments, as required, at meetings and events;
  • Dealing with travel arrangements (including sourcing and reserving venues, hotels, documentation, flight bookings);
  • Collecting and dealing with mail, as required;
  • Meetings, arrange time, date, venue and other requirements;
  • Preparation of agenda, relevant documentation, and the receiving thereof;
  • Organising and serving refreshments;
  • Taking minutes, typing and distribution;
  • Projects - assist with collecting and organising research information;
  • Typing of proposals, programs, policies and any other relevant material;
  • Arrangements for seminars or conferences, including international;
  • Deal with invitations to seminars, typing relevant documents, arrangements, venue, etc.;
  • Follow up on seminars or conferences, as required;
  • Financial administration, dealing with requisitions and invoices
  • Obtaining quotations for purchases or services as required;
  • Duplicating and record keeping or filing as required.
