VACANCY: POST LEVEL 1 LECTURER (TEMPORARY) - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - BOKSBURG CAMPUS

Minimum Salary:
- R256 395.00 - R410 565.00 per annum, plus 37% in lieu of benefits.
Educational Requirement:
- A National Senior Certificate (Matric);
- National Diploma/Degree in Information Technology;
- TVET Education Lecturing Qualification.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of zero to two (0-2) year's experience in TVET sector;
- Registered with South African Council for Educators (SACE);
- Moderator and Assessor certificate will be an added advantage;
- Driver's licence will be an added advantage.
Post Description:
- Introduction to Information Systems L2;
- Introduction to Systems Development L2;
- Electronics L2;
- Computer Hardware and Software L3;
- Principles of Computer Programming L3;
- Systems Analysis and Design L3-L4;
- Data Communication and Networking L4.
Duties:
- Engage in learning/facilitation as per workload;
- Assess and record the performance of students;
- Manage a learning program, develop policy for the program;
- Provide guidance on the latest developments on approaches to the program.
Duration:
- 12 Months.

Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus an appropriate recognised Bachelor's Degree / Diploma (NQF Level 6) backed by a professional qualification in Education;
- Plus 7 years teaching experience, of which three (3) years as Senior Education Specialist (PL 3) at TVET sector;
- Extensive knowledge of the CET Act, PFMA and all other related education and training legislation;
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the TVET sector;
- Sound knowledge and experience of financial management, project management and HR development strategies;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, motivational, negotiation and problem solving skills;
- Well-developed organisational, planning, and excellent management skills;
- Computer literacy;
- SACE Registration;
- A valid Driver’s License.
Duties:
- Lead and co-ordinate day-to-day management of campus activities;
- Lead and support designated staff to ensure that learners' entitlements are achieved and improved;
- Support and contribute to the implementation of the College's transformation policies and strategic plans;
- Lead and coordinate the construction and development of the campus plan;
- Promote the College's strategies for the development and effective use of information and learning technologies;
- Maintain contact with parents, guardians and sponsors concerning the behaviour and performance of learners;
- Develop strong, vibrant relationships with social, sporting and community organisations;
- Provide relevant and timely management information;
- Contribute to the audit review and monitoring process related to corporate objectives;
- Manage facilities and infrastructure and learner support services and network with industries;
- Be accountable for institutional quality assurance at campus level;
- Manage curriculum implementation and academic support;
- Manage the provision of examination services;
- Oversee the administration of student financial aid and bursaries;
- Manage student registration and student support services;
- Manage provision of general administration support services in relation to corporate and financial services at the campus;
- Manage the provision of residence services.
