PERMANENT CONTRACT – MTHATHA

To implement the provision of financial and non-financial support incentives, incubation support, pre and post investment support, and other entrepreneurship development programmes/projects that contribute towards attainment of growth and development priorities of the Eastern Cape province. The role entails: Identification, assessment of client needs and provides enterprise support products and appropriate solutions to address the needs of the business. Creating linkages with business development support partners internally and externally. Initiate and strengthen key partnerships with other role players within the funding environment. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients within the region for additional support. Functions relating to the role also include: Processing incentive fund applications, making recommendations to committees, feedback to clients, preparing disbursements, monitoring and reporting. Conducting improvement assessments on completion of business support interventions. The role involves working in teams, dealing with highly sensitive client information and requires due care in providing satisfactory services to clients.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Business Management / Economics/ Accounting.
- A minimum of (3) three years working experience of which at least (2) two years should be in enterprise finance, enterprise development or economic development.

SUPERVISOR LEASEHOLD MANAGEMENT: MTHATHA
PERMANENT CONTRACT
GRADE 14 : R643 000 – R931 000 (TOTAL COST TO COMPANY)
The incumbent will be responsible for supervising the operational leasehold management functions of the region. The role will entail verification of prospective tenants, facilitating the approval of tenant applications and finalisation of contracts; supervising the lease renewal process to ensure timely renewals; supervising rental collection, property administration and lease administration; and resolution of leasehold queries and problems. The role also entails ensuring timely property and lease administration, monitoring and reporting, customer relationship management, rental and debt collections, including effective record keeping. Convene weekly meetings to ensure that rental and debt collection processes are being implemented according to policy and documentation is updated and filed. Supervise rental collection, property administration and lease administration to ensure that it is in line with policy requirements. Reconcile monthly rent roll to ensure accuracy and correct billing of tenants. Recommend acknowledge of debt for approval and monitor the honouring of payment commitments. Supervise the lease renewal process to ensure timely renewals prior to expiry date. Market and manage rental units to minimise vacancies and evaluate applications using credit ratings and tenant affordability analysis. Build sustainable relationships with key tenants to ensure continued increased tenancy of the ECDC properties. Manage preparation and support of all internal and external audits. Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are prepared accurately, maintained, and submitted timeously to all stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- A minimum of 5 years working experience of which 3 years must be in the property and tenant management space.

The role entails the coordination of corporate performance reporting and performance information management. Functions relating to the coordination of corporate performance reporting entail collation of relevant information from business units as well as external sources, analysis, interpretation and validation of information and data, compilation of quarterly performance, annual and ad hoc reports, as well as presentation to relevant structures.
Activities related to performance information management entail reviewing of the integrity of the technical indicator descriptors, alignment of the corporate plan to targets, reviewing of quarterly milestone targets to evaluate alignment to the annual target; assessment of the portfolio of evidence and reconciliation of same to reported quarterly, ad hoc, and annual performance information. MANAGER: EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND WELLNESS
PERMANENT CONTRACT

The role entails implementation of the overall employee relations strategy in support of business needs, promoting employee wellness, and coordinating organizational-wide Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs and compliance. The incumbent shall be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of industrial and employee relations management strategy and programs, rendering employee relations and OHS related advice on substantive and procedural matters to ensure compliance with policy and statutory requirements at corporate and business unit level, and overseeing the development and maintenance of employee relations and wellness programs. The incumbent is also tasked to ensure the effective maintenance of sound labour relations with organized labour as well as management of internal grievances and CCMA/Labour court referrals in a timely and cost-effective manner. Further, this position must ensure legal compliance through alignment between legal prescripts and organizational policies and practices relating to employee relations management, employee welfare, and OHS business systems and processes including matters relating to employee benefits. The incumbent shall be expected to report and provide effective feedback to management on the performance of overall portfolio particularly on labour relations. The incumbent will also be responsible for identifying the need for refinements, changes to existing policies, procedures, processes etc. by studying national trends, related legislation and best practices, recommend changes and monitor implementation of approved policies and operating procedure manuals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology/ psychology, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or relevant field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years work experience in human resources, employee relations and wellness environment of which three (3) years should be at supervisory level or senior consultancy role.

SENIOR MANAGER - OFFICE OF THE CEO
EAST LONDON - FIVE (5) YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT
GRADE 18 - (TOTAL COST TO COMPANY)
The incumbent shall be responsible for providing strategic support to the Office of the CEO including overseeing daily operations of the Office, strategic stakeholder interface management, corporate level reporting and communication quality assurance, and strategic coordination for effective functioning of the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the CEO on matters relating to organisational strategy implementation and monitoring
- Managing and coordinating the CEO's Office programs and initiatives including relationships with key stakeholders.
- Providing administrative support to the CEO, including report submissions to key stakeholders, strategic partners and tracking the implementation of executive committee and Board resolutions.
- Acting as a liaison between the CEO and the Executive Management including following up on the implementation of organisational initiatives by Executive Management.
- Co-developing and writing the CEO's report to the Board, as well as providing quarterly progress reports.
- Supporting the CEO in implementing continuous improvement systems including streamlining administrative processes for better institutional turnaround and responsiveness.
- Developing Office of the CEO operational plans, preparing Office of the CEO unit budgets in accordance with organisational guidelines, and monitoring budget expenditure.
- Interface with the CEO’s direct reports to bring to the attention of the CEO operating institutional impediments and to prioritise organisational action to maintain compliance with corporate reporting requirements.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CEO's office, ensuring efficient use of resources, supporting in risk management, and providing professional support to the CEO.
- Overseeing operations of the executive committee sittings, ensuring proper agenda, timeous reports circulation, minutes quality assurance, action plan follow-ups, etc
- Overall, this role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the CEO's office and supporting the CEO in their strategic leadership role.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A relevant postgraduate qualification and a bachelor’s degree in commerce, public administration, engineering, development studies, or communication.
- A minimum of 8 years working experience of which 5 years should be in research, administration, development management, communication, media relations, strategic planning, or monitoring and evaluation environment at middle management or senior consultant level
