Minimum Requirements:
Clinical Coordinator
  • A Degree in Nursing or Health Sciences
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse, and Midwife
  • Two years clinical experience as a professional nurse and midwife
  • Valid driver's 
 
Summary of Duties
  • Undertake practical training and assessment
  • Conduct student practical’s
  • Coordinate Clinical Practice
  • Monitor students' progress in Clinical Practice.
  • Coordinate and invigilation of formative and summative clinical assessments.
  • Ensure quality control in the Clinical Skills Laboratory, as well as manage the day-to-day running of the laboratory.
  • Supervise, train, and assess undergraduate students in the Clinical Skills laboratory and clinical area
  • Coordinate and manage work preparedness programme for students.
  • Involved in community engagement projects.
  • All other relevant duties as delegated by HoD and HoP

Minimum requirements:
Senior Lecturer
  • Doctorate in Translation Studies/Language Practice or related field with specialization in Translation Studies.
  • IsiXhosa/English language combination.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of teaching at tertiary level.
  • Track record in research in associated fields within the preceding 5 years.
  • Successful supervision of at least one postgraduate student at Master’s and/or PhD levels.
  • National and/or international research collaboration and partnerships will be an advantage.
  • NRF rating will be an advantage.
  • Aptitude for teaching with technology will be an added advantage. 
  
Summary of Duties:
  • Teach and assess in assigned modules.
  • Postgraduate supervision in the faculty.
  • Participate in programme and curriculum initiatives in the department and faculty.
  • Participate in research and community engagement.
  • Participate in Faculty and departmental structures.
  • Undertake administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department / Programme Co-ordinator.

  • A strong passion for teaching and research.
