Durban ICC SOC (Ltd) is the managing company for the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC
Complex, which includes the International Convention Centre Durban (ICC), the ICC Exhibition Centre and the ICC Arena. The Durban ICC is one of the most advanced conference facilities in the world, having been voted Africa’s Leading Conference Centre by World Travel Awards for 18 years.
CREDITORS CLERK (TG 7)
MIN R206 146.17 – MAX R351 837.49 PER ANNUM
(INTERNAL & EXTERNAL)
The organisation is calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of Creditors Clerk.
The Creditors Clerk will be responsible for filing of new invoices after payment run and liaising with suppliers.
The incumbent will report to the Expenditure Accountant.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Minimum Qualifications
Senior Certificate
National Diploma in Finance/Accounting, (NQF Level5) or equivalent.
Two (02) years’ experience in a similar role within a highly pressurised work environment
Experience with MFMA supply chain management requirements
Experience with working on computerized financial systems and online banking.

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE
Provide timeous and accurate processing of invoices.
Check supplier invoices if they comply with the VAT act.
Process Supplier invoices into the JD Edwards (JDE) system.
Prepare supplier reconciliation according to the required standards.
Attend to departmental audit queries during internal and external audit.
Manage and maintain archiving and filling of supplier invoices.
Prepare payment batch in the JDE system and upload to the business banking online.
Update the JDE system with payments made to ensure the creditor’s ledger is kept up to date.

The SCM Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Supply Chain Management process of the entity which includes the alignment of procedures, systems and controls to regulatory and company standards and processes.
The incumbent will report to the Manager: SCM.

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE
Prepare RFQ and tender evaluation reports.
Prepare ad hoc reports related to Supply Chain Management.
Maintenance of acquisition, appointment and contractual agreements.
Collating information for quarterly SCM reporting to Board Committees.
Participate in meetings and provide information on Supply Chain Management.
Vetting and review of tender and request for quotation (RFQ) specification documents for the procurement of goods and services.
Responsible for compliance and enhancement of the SCM policy and processes for implementation/awareness/training throughout the entity.
Alignment of the entity’s needs analysis to budgetary provisions to circumvent unauthorised expenditure.
Responsible for drafting, implementation and monitoring of the entity’s procurement plan to ensure that all requisition needs are adequately planned and initiated within an acceptable lead time.
Responsible for ensuring that the procurement processes for all capital projects are expedited, as per agreed upon deadlines.
Responsible for management of subordinates and providing guidance to the team.
