TASK LEVEL: 15 – Basic salary per annum is R592 490.33 – R769 075.58

JOB PURPOSE:
To manage the provision and maintenance of cemeteries and Resorts. Developing and implementing new initiatives in the cemeteries industry in order to improve cost effectiveness, service delivery, quality and business development. Provide an advisory, strategic, developmental and management service to the Section in order to maintain existing facilities and develop new facilities.
The core responsibilities of the Manager: Cemeteries and Resorts
• Manage, develop and maintain Cemeteries and Resorts.
• Provide vision and leadership for the development and implementation of new initiatives in the cemeteries industry that improve cost effectiveness, service quality and business development.
• Provide an advisory, strategic, developmental and management service to the Section in order to maintain existing facilities and develop new facilities.
• Manage the resources allocated to the section.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:
• Diploma in Horticulture or similar qualification relevant to Cemetery Management

GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. A service bonus equivalent to one month’s salary, where applicable, will be payable and be supplemented by the normal benefits applicable to the Municipality including housing allowance for homeowners subject to certain conditions.

Manages and co-ordinate activities associated with Building Maintenance to ensure compliance to policies and procedures within the municipality.
