DITSONG: Museums of South Africa (DMSA) is a Schedule 3A public entity reporting to the Department of Ms aid Culture.
DMSA is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified individual on a one year (1 year) performance-based fixed contract tor this position, based at Head Office in Pretoria The contract is renewal based on performance.
LABOUR RELATIONS SPECIALIST
REF: DMSA02/2020
REMUNERATION PACKAGE — R 476 87 28
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Labour Relations or Law (BProc/ LLB). At least five years of work experience, including three years' experience in the Labour Relations environment.
CRITICAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES NEEDED: Labour Legislation: Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Ate, Employment Equity Act, Occupational Health & Safety, Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act; Various and relevant legislation; Extremely organised, detail oriented and efficient; Policy Development, Review and Implementation; Report writing and presentation skills; Organisational performance management; Good people skills; Human Relations; Conflict Management; Negotiation and leadership skills.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Inter aria, include: • Strategy implementation: implement Employee relations strategy that is aligned to the organisations strategy; Communicate the employee relations roll out strategies to create awareness to management and staff; Ensure that all training and development programmes are in accordance to the workforce skills plan. • Manage and Implement Employee relations: Manage and implement disciplinary and Grievance processes; Establish a sound working relationship with the relevant stakeholders (Management, Unions and employees); Provide support to management and employees on internal grievances and disciplinary procedures; Empower managers and employees about the organisational policies and procedures, and labour law practices; Ensure fairness and consistency on disciplinary enquiry matters; Represent DMSA in incapacity hearings; Keep abreast with Labour Relations developments and ensure policy alignment • Coordinate the employee relations matters to ensure accurate reporting; Source and engage with Internal disciplinary hearing chairperson whenever is required to do so; Identity and discuss the employee relations opportunity/ Improvement areas with managers; Represent DMSA at the CCMA should the need arise; Conduct the relevant employee relations training to managers and
supervisors; Compile monthly and quarterly reports • Policy compliance: Ensure that DMSA policies are compliant with regulatory and legal requirements and the organisations standards and values; Ensure that all the relevant policies are updated on a continuous basis; Implement proposed interventions as per respective legislation changes and/ or recommendations.
KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SENIOR SPECIALIST

REMUNERATION PACKAGE — R 651 972,40
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Post graduate qualification in Information Management, Knowledge Management, Business Management or similar field. At least five years of work experience, inducting three years' experience carrying out knowledge management and information dissemination activities.
CRITICAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES NEEDED: Knowledge of Museological practices; Knowledge management platforms and tools; Information Management trends, methodologies and practices; Knowledge of Project management; Oral and Written Communication skills; Computer literacy; Excellent grammar and spelling; Presentation and facilitation skills; knowledge of research and research methodologies; Interpersonal skills; Organisational skills.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Inter alia, include: • Information and Knowledge Management: Collect, collate, and store organisational knowledge; Ensure all relevant documents and records are stored in the knowledge management system; Setup idea bank to capture new ideas •Knowledge Exchange: Establish knowledge management community of practice; Setup collaborative tools such as Activity Rooms to facilitate idea sharing; Facilitate knowledge and experiences sharing across communities of practice and units/ departments; Ensure knowledge sharing sessions take place; Monitor and evaluate the knowledge sharing program; Ensure
information dissemination about the DMSA's knowledge sharing program to internal and external audiences. • General Management: Prepare and manage budget; Coach and mentor staff; Develop information and knowledge management processes and systems; Ensure knowledge and information management quality management processes are setup; Ensure training and awareness sessions in knowledge and information management take place; Manage partnerships; Stakeholder database management; Contribution to Operational Plan development; Contribute towards achievement of targets on APP; Monitor and Evaluate performance of direct reportees.
