BURSARY REQUIREMENTS:
 
Candidates applying for the bursary must adhere to the following:
• Be a South African citizen
• Hold a valid South African ID document
• Have Grade 12/NCV certificate at NQF level 4
• Provide proof of acceptance from a registered learning institution
• Be in need of financial assistance
 
DOCUMENTATION TO BE CERTIFIED AND ATTACHED TO THE APPLICATION:
• Candidates valid ID document
• Candidate's academic record
• Grade 12 /NCV certificates at NQF level 4
• Acceptance letter from a learning institution
• Course curriculum
• Course fee

Applicants must complete an application (Annexure G5) for DCS officials and Annexure G5 for unemployed youth form obtainable from the Department website: www.dcs.gov.za
 
These applications must be scanned and emailed to e mail addresses below.
 
Applicants must be prepared to enter into an agreement with the Department of Correctional Services.
 
NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
• No hand delivered or posted application forms will be accepted.
• Correspondence will only be limited to successful candidates.
• Students already receiving bursary from other public/private institutions will not be considered for a bursary.
