​INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER – NATIONAL OFFICE

The Governance and Strategy Department, in the National Office, has a vacancy for an Internal Communications Officer.
 
Purpose: The Internal Communications Officer is responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating internal communication plans that inform, engage, and inspire employees across the organisation. This role acts as a trusted advisor to leadership and key stakeholders to ensure all internal messaging is clear, consistent, transparent, and aligned with the CCMA’s mandate, goals, culture, and values.

  • Develop an internal communication operational plan
  • Content Creation and Management
  • Communications Channel and Platform Management
  • Stakeholder Consultation and Support
  • Budget management
 
Key Requirements:
  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field
 
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of the South African Media Environment.
  • Proficiency with computer software packages
  • Basic knowledge of PAIA (Promotion of Access to Information Act) and POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) requirements
  • Basic photography and video editing skills
  • Writing, editing, and proofreading compelling content for various internal channels, including company-wide emails, intranet articles, newsletters, Director messages, presentations, and video scripts.
  • Understanding of the CCMA processes, systems and procedures
  • Understanding of organisational language policy and multilingualism
  • Understanding of the South African Legal Framework
