COMPENSATION FUND BURSARY PROGRAMME 2019
The Compensation Fund is offering bursaries to youth, dependents of Compensation Fund pensioners and current Compensation Fund pensioners, to pursue their studies with Tshwane University of Technology, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town and University of Kwa-Zulu Natal for the academic year 2019.
Critical scarce skills funded: Nursing Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB,ChB) Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Science Information Communications Technology and Actuarial science.
Selection criteria: Youth, dependents of Compensation Fund pensioners and current Compensation Fund pensioners, who are South African Citizens between the ages of 17 – 25 years and accepted to study at listed Universities for the critical scarce skills identified by the Fund.
Eligibility Requirements: South African citizens Fully completed application form Proof of residence Originally certified copy of Identity card/ birth certificate of the applicant (youth, dependents of Compensation Fund pensioners and current Compensation Fund pensioners) Certified copy of matric certificate Fatally injured pensioner’s certified copy of death certificate Certified copy of surviving parent or guardian’s ID card/book Award letter for fatally injured pensioner and listed dependents or fatally injured pensioner’s pension number or Compensation Fund pensioner’s pension number Proof of acceptance (admission) from the Tshwane University of Technology, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town and University of Kwa-Zulu Natal confirming identified scares skills courses.
What The Bursary Covers : Tuition fees, Prescribed books and Learning material, Accommodation, Meals and a Monthly allowance The bursary is renewable every year depending on the availability of funds and academic performance of students.
Closing date for submission of applications is on the 31st of October 2018. (no late applications will be accepted)
How to apply: Download and complete the Compensation Fund bursary application form on the Department of Labour Website. Submit copies of the listed certified supporting documents along with fully completed and signed application form.
