COMMISSION FOR GENDER EQUALITY (CGE)
 
The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) is an Independent and statutory body created in terms of the SA Constitution. The CGE is committed to a society free from gender oppression and all forms of inequality. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions. 
 
Manager: Human Resources 
Salary level: 11 Salary Package: R733 257 per annum (All Inclusive
Centre: Head office – Johannesburg 
 
 
Requirements
6 -10 years of experience as an HR generalist • Bachelors in HR • A postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage. Thorough knowledge of SAGE VIP packages • Very strong in oral and written communication • Excellent interpersonal abilities • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork; • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; • Demonstrate strong abilities as an organizer, relationship builder, negotiator, problem solver and public speaker. • Ability to positively drive company culture • Deep understanding of South African labour laws and practice. • Able to handle difficult conversations effectively. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
• Full Human Resources function of the Human Resources Department. • Maintaining the relationships between management and employee to sustain the principle of being a people-centred organisation. • Maintain a positive company culture in all department to ensure optimal and efficient performance. • Provide HR support to all Departmental Managers. 
• Support managers and functional areas with Performance Management processes. • Implementing, and support the integration of policies and procedures, and ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to. • Recruitment and selection of candidates. • Draft job specifications and job descriptions. • Manage Employment Equity. • Responsible for management and administration of Disciplinary and Grievance processes. • Manage all dispute resolution referrals CCMA with stakeholder involved. • Maintain and Administer HR systems which may include payroll systems • Manage Leave, Sick Leave, Overtime, Employee loans, HR actions KPAs and Performance Management on company Human Resources System. • Provide a monthly HR movement to Finance Department and Executive. • Full talent acquisition function, on boarding and exit function. • Interview applicants about their experience, education and skills. • Contact references and perform background checks. • Conduct new employee orientations. • Process paperwork and ensure workflow is actioned. • Conducting exit interviews. • Maintains organisation staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing programme; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews; recommending changes. • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource and DOL requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organisation at hearings. • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records. • Maintains human resource staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. • Manage the recruitment and selection process. • Maintain and oversee payroll procedures. • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
