HR MANAGER
Level: 11 - Salary package: R779 235.80 (All-inclusive package)
Centre: Head office – Johannesburg
The CGE has a vacancy for a good HR Manager, who is driven, organised and committed to helping the CGE employees reach their full potential, ultimately creating a fit-for-purpose workforce that will assist the institution to achieve its constitutional goals. The HR Manager must have a sympathetic attitude, quick decision-making skills, integrity, patience, formal authority, leadership, social responsibility, good communication skills and the ability to keep confidential information.
Minimum Requirements
A Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources (HR) or related studies. At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resources management. A good understanding of labour laws, skills development regulations, as well as occupational health and safety and ISO standards. A commitment to principles of transformation in South Africa. The HR Manager must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including automated HR management systems. The HR Manager must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and retention, Payroll processing and leave maintenance, statutory compliance, disciplinary processes and HR policies and Procedures.
- Creation of key performance areas and performance management, perform general HR administrative processes, promote good governance in HR practices, implement best-practice HR principles, processes and procedures, including HR related budget systems and controls.
- Establishment and implementation of organisational business processes and procedures, relevant organisational policies, as well as guiding key business plans.
- Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programmes.
- Ensuring the CGE’s compliance to the legislative environment within which it operates, including BEE Drives and prescripts of the Employment Equity Act, PAIA and POPIA.
- Establish and manage HR risk and mitigation thereof.
- Manage HR audit processes.
- Manage staff development programmes.
- Establish, maintain and manage HR systems automation and ensure effective functionality thereof.
- Keep track of employee performance.
- Manage initiatives to improve good organisational culture.
- Create a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee and manage benefits and compensation.
- Handle conflicts, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Navigating remote hiring and its challenges.
- Providing the necessary IT infrastructure for remote work.
- Perform other HR related duties as and when required.
