Level 11 - Salary package: R779 235.80 (All-inclusive package)
Centre: Head office – Johannesburg
Requirements: Master’s Degree or equivalent qualifications in the Social Sciences/humanities. *A qualification(s) in the field of Gender Studies or equivalent research experience and publication is an added advantage.*sound knowledge background and knowledge of social science research methodologies and monitoring skills.* Excellent verbal, written communication and networking skills are essential.* Report writing and presentation skills will be important.* Sound knowledge and experience in the field of advancing gender equality and working with civil society*prepared to travel and work under pressure to meet deadlines.*Ability to monitor non-compliance with policies and legislative frameworks promoting gender equality*experience in designing research projects and project management skills.* Demonstrable record of publishing and publications of research outputs and articles.* Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities: Supervision of Research Staff and management of the execution of research programme activities working closely with Head of Research Department to achieve the objectives of the CGE.* Ensuring that the Research Department enables the CGE to fulfil its mandate of monitoring the implementation of relevant government policies aimed at the advancement of gender equality in the public, private and civil society sectors .* implement CGE programmes as they relate to departmental operations.
Prospective candidates will be required to submit samples of their published written work and/or published articles.
