RISK OFFICER - BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT
(Post Level: 07)
The Governance and Strategy Department has a vacancy of a Risk Officer - Business Continuity Management.
Purpose
To provide support in relation to the implementation of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) function within the CCMA and implement BCM in conformance to the IS022301 and related standards across the CCMA.
Key Performance Areas:-
• Implementation of the Business Continuity Management Plan for the CCMA
• Review and update Business Continuity Management policy, strategy and implementation plan.
• Design and implement the BCM maturity model and roadmap
• Conduct a business impact assessment to determine the business continuity that will be required.
• Performing Risk and Threat Assessment
• Develop business continuity strategies as part of the BCM lifecycle to ensure cost-effective solutions to recover critical activities within required timeframes across all departments and regional offices.
• Populate the Battle boxes for Provinces and Head Office
• Schedule and manage testing of the plans as per implementation plans
• Provide training to organisation's business continuity resources and ensure conformance to the latest Business Continuity Institute (BCI) requirements.
• Prepares and compiles relevant BCM reports for Governance structures.
Key Requirements:
• Appropriate Diploma or Bachelor's Degree
• Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated practical experience and proven record of accomplishment in Business Continuity Management
• Business Continuity Certification (CBCP, CBCI, CIDRE, CBCM, EDRP, etc.) will serve as an advantage
• 4-7 years Business Continuity Management experience.
• Member of a BCM professional body will be an added advantage

FULL-TIME SENIOR COMMISSIONER - JOHANNESBURG
(Post level: 04)
Johannesburg office has a vacancy of a Full-Time Senior Commissioner.
Purpose
To provide a management support role to the RSC in the Region and the statutory functions of the commission in order to ensure all efficiencies and statutory requirements are always met.
Key performance areas:
• Monitor Conciliation/ Arbitration hearings
• Management of Commissioners
• Management of Reviews Rescissions and Enforcements
• Provide support in managing support services
• People Management
• Reporting
• Regional Department Plan
Key requirements:
• Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience of which two (2) should be at a Senior Management Level or alternatively appropriate NQF Level 6 tertiary qualification
• Training on Labour legislation
• Commissioner Training
• Training on CCMA policies and procedures
• Management and Leadership

NATIONAL SENIOR COMMISSIONER: DISPUTE RESOLUTION - NATIONAL OFFICE
(Post level: 02)
The CCMA has a vacancy for a National Senior Commissioner- Dispute Resolution.
Purpose: To lead, provide strategic support and guidance to all CCMA Operations including the Provinces, and through this ensure that the CCMA achieves all operational objectives and efficiencies while meeting all statutory obligations. Provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that CCMA has the proper operational control and reporting procedures to ensure efficiencies.

Knowledge:
• Above average knowledge of the law and fully conversant with case law.
• Full knowledge of CCMA rules, guidelines and practice notes.
• High level of interpretation of statute and applying complex legal principles (instruments and interpretation both statute and common law).
• Multi knowledge and demonstration of multi-play of statute.
• Competent knowledge and practical experience in dealing with volumes of evidence and ability to extract silent matters/issues.
• Remain abreast of developments in the Employment Laws and identify early signs of potential risks and problems which require leadership intervention
• Knowledge of CCMA Rules, policies, processes, systems, operations and procedures
• Knowledge of Labour Market
• Knowledge of social partners - government and labour policies – in relation to the CCMA
• Knowledge of computer literacy and the CCMA systems
• Financial Awareness
• Policy and Procedure Formulation
• Coaching and Mentoring Approaches
Skills and Behavioural Competencies:
• Demonstration of application of foreign law and domestic law.
• Readily able to engage on complex legal issues without preliminary research.
• Experience in conducting high profile cases and able to interact with parties and balancing it with the labour market.
• Experience in publishing and or presenting papers internationally or domestically.
• Proven track record in imparting knowledge relating to labour matters.
• Full understanding of the ILO conventions and its applicability.
• Good communication and interpersonal relations skills at various levels .
• Planning and organisational skills. Take ownership of projects and implementation.
• Well informed, effective and timely decision making
• Emotional maturity
• Ability to think strategically and ability to put these into practice
• Ability to engage with Social Partners at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Key Requirements:
• Unless an applicant can demonstrate suitability through experience of not less than 10 years in senior management role, a Bachelor's Degree in Law or Social Sciences is required.
• A post graduate qualification will be advantageous.
• At least 10 years’ experience in Industrial Relations environment / Employment Laws. Must be or have been a Practicing Commissioner.
• 3 – 5 years must be in a Senior Management position.
