TEAM LEADER: STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PROJECTS

The Governance and Strategy Department has a vacancy of a Team Leader: Stakeholder Management and Projects.
Purpose
The Team Leader: Stakeholder Management and Projects will support management in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of the CCMA mandate and strategy as well as encourage team members to be innovative and unlock new generation ideas. Through the establishment and maintenance of strategic partnerships of the CCMA, the Team Leader: Stakeholder Management and Projects will lead the team in facilitating timeous, effective and relevant stakeholder identification, mapping, and engagement processes to ensure effective implementation of projects emanating from the strategic partnerships.
Key performance areas
• Strategic partnerships establishment and maintenance support
• Internal and external stakeholder management support
• Proactive regional focused stakeholder management and projects
• Manage the flow of day-to-day operations of the Stakeholder Management and Projects sub-unit by providing guidance to team members and directing their workload activities to ensure timescales and requirements are met
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team and liaise with other internal departments, provinces, and regional offices.
• Communicate clear instructions to team members and listen to team members' feedback
• Provide briefings and support to technical teams for meetings with stakeholders
• Performance management
• Sub-unit governance, planning, and reporting support
• Perform any other activity as assigned and delegated by the CCMA Management and governance structures.
Key responsibilities
• Strategic partnerships establishment and maintenance support
- Support the proactive and reactive identification of opportunities to establish strategic partnerships in support of the delivery of the CCMA mandate and strategy
- Support the facilitation of external and inter-departmental discussions concerning potential strategic partnerships and formalisation of strategic partnerships, including the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs)
- Develop project plans for the operationalisation of signed MOUs through the convening of regular meetings with team members, strategic partners and implementing internal Departments
- Monitor the implementation of resolutions and activities/projects emanating from the operationalisation of the MOUs and provide progress reports
- Support the facilitation of the review of the MOUs, as and when relevant
• Internal and external stakeholder management support
- Develop strategies to promote team member adherence to CCMA regulations, processes and performance goals
- Develop a strategy the team will use to deliver on operational targets
- Monitor team members' performance to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, policies and identify skills gap and any training that team members need to efficiently deliver on the departmental operational plans
- Support the development and maintenance of the CCMA’s stakeholder management database, and ensure continuous updating
- Facilitate internal and external stakeholder consultation processes and inputs for feeding into the organisation’s decision-making and policy processes
- Assist with the identification of growth opportunities for the team members.
- Support the continuous communication with internal and external stakeholders, by utilising appropriate tools of engagement and relevant communication platforms
• Sub - Unit Governance, planning and reporting support
- Assist with the development, review and maintenance of the stakeholder management policies, frameworks, strategies and implementation plans, in compliance with relevant legislations, policies, corporate governance principles and industry best practice, in supporting the delivery of the CCMA’s mandate and strategy
- Support in reporting the implementation of the stakeholder management policies, frameworks, strategies and implementation plans
- Contribute to the development, implementation and reporting of the sub-unit annual operational plan through the interpretation of, and alignment with the organisation’s strategy and related annual performance plans
- Draft the sub-unit’s reports (monthly and quarterly) for relevant management and governance structures, according to the set standard, requirements, guidelines and agreed frequency
- Assist with the reporting of all activities of the sub-unit, as and when necessary
- Facilitate response to findings and action plans related to internal audit, external audit, risk management and compliance management processes.

Key Requirements
• Appropriate qualification in business administration, stakeholder management, project management and/or any other related qualifications
• Minimum of three (3) years’ practical and technical experience in a leadership role
• Strong Relationship Building Skills
• Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
• 5 – 10 years & Reporting experience
Core Competencies:
Knowledge:
• Competent knowledge and experience in formulating stakeholder management policies, frameworks, strategies, and implementation plans, in compliance with relevant legislation, policies, corporate governance principles, and industry best practice
• Familiarity with using various Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems essential
• Broader project management and project communications experience and skills desirable
• Competent management of information and reporting principles, tools and mechanisms
