DESIGNATION: SENIOR MANAGER FACILITIES & FLEET
GROUP: CORPORATE SERVICES

REPORTING TO: GENERAL MANAGER EMPLOYEE SERVICES CENTRE
Appointment Minimum Requirements:
National Diploma (NQF 6) in Business Management/ Transport Management / Facilities Management
7 years’ experience of which 3 years must be at middle management level in the fleet and/or maintenance and repairs discipline
Primary Function
The SM: F&F is primarily responsible to oversee the operations of the Facilities and Fleet division optimising the management of assets and ensure they are well-maintained, safe, compliant with regulations, and used optimally to support the organization's operations
Key responsibilities
Analyse and align operating capacity and capabilities of the Division to deliver against Facilities and Fleet specific key performance areas. Develop policies, procedures and standards regulating the key aspects for which the division is responsible for and ensure proper implementation and execution of those policies, procedures and standards. Identify Fleet Risk and mitigation processes as input to the companywide risk management. Oversee implementation of controls to reduce breakdown costs. Put measures to control fleet usage. Ensure continuous improvement through ongoing driver training. Ensure measures are in place to enhance and maintain fleet and on time vehicle availability. Manage overall costs within the division, against guidelines and take action where necessary. Monitor the utilisation of the budget within the division, to ensure that expenditure is effectively managed and allocated efficiently. Identify and analyse reasons/causes for deviations against the allocated budget and justify any significant deviations from allocated budgets and implement corrective measures to address deviations within the division. Monitor the strict adherence to governance and setting high standards of professionalism within the City Power section. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and all security-related legislation and reporting. Initiate strategies to drive professional and customer centric behaviours across the department. Represent the department at various appropriate forums and confidently raise issues at the appropriate governance structures. Provide direction for overarching conformance to customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
