DESIGNATION: INFRASTRUCTURE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT GRANT (ISDG) GRADUATE PROGRAMME 
GROUP: GOVERNANCE & CORPORATE SERVICES 
DEPARTMNENT: HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT 
  • City Power, the Municipal Entity of the City of Johannesburg, jointly with the National Treasury, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified unemployed graduates to participate in a 3 – year fixed term contract “Road to Professionalization” programme in the following disciplines 
 
Minimum Qualification: 
  • BSc/BEng(NQF 7) degree in Electrical Engineering 
 
Discipline:
  • Electrical Engineering Graduate 
 
In making the final selection, preference will be given to applicants meeting the following critical criteria: 
  • Suitably qualified and unemployed 
  • A valid code 08 driver’s licence will be an added advantage 
  • Appointment will be made in line with the Employment Equity Act 
  • Must be a South African citizen in possession of the valid SA ID 
  • Must be under the age of 35 
  • Academic context must be realist match to the academic requirements for professional registration with respective statutory council.

GROUP: GOVERNANCE & CORPORATE SERVICES 
DEPARTMNENT: HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT 
City Power, the Municipal Entity of the City of Johannesburg, jointly with the National Treasury, hereby invites applications from Professionalised and qualified mentors to participate in a 2 – year fixed term contract programme in the following discipline: 
 
Minimum Qualification: 
  • BSc/BEng(NQF 7) degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • Professionally Registered Engineer (Pr Eng) with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) 
 
Discipline:
  • Electrical Engineering Mentors 
 
Additional Requirements: 
  • At least five years post- registration industry experience 
  • Coaching and Mentoring Competency 
  • Ability to train and mentor Electrical engineering graduates 
  • Computer Literacy 
 
 
Remuneration shall be determined by National Treasury Guidelines:
