DESIGNATION: INFRASTRUCTURE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT GRANT (ISDG) GRADUATE PROGRAMME
GROUP: GOVERNANCE & CORPORATE SERVICES
DEPARTMNENT: HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
- City Power, the Municipal Entity of the City of Johannesburg, jointly with the National Treasury, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified unemployed graduates to participate in a 3 – year fixed term contract “Road to Professionalization” programme in the following disciplines
Minimum Qualification:
- BSc/BEng(NQF 7) degree in Electrical Engineering
Discipline:
- Electrical Engineering Graduate
In making the final selection, preference will be given to applicants meeting the following critical criteria:
- Suitably qualified and unemployed
- A valid code 08 driver’s licence will be an added advantage
- Appointment will be made in line with the Employment Equity Act
- Must be a South African citizen in possession of the valid SA ID
- Must be under the age of 35
- Academic context must be realist match to the academic requirements for professional registration with respective statutory council.

GROUP: GOVERNANCE & CORPORATE SERVICES
DEPARTMNENT: HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
City Power, the Municipal Entity of the City of Johannesburg, jointly with the National Treasury, hereby invites applications from Professionalised and qualified mentors to participate in a 2 – year fixed term contract programme in the following discipline:
Minimum Qualification:
- BSc/BEng(NQF 7) degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professionally Registered Engineer (Pr Eng) with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
Discipline:
- Electrical Engineering Mentors
Additional Requirements:
- At least five years post- registration industry experience
- Coaching and Mentoring Competency
- Ability to train and mentor Electrical engineering graduates
- Computer Literacy
Remuneration shall be determined by National Treasury Guidelines:
