Senior Officer: Security Information Analysis & Surveillance Centre (X1) Ref: 014
TASK Grade 12
Reporting to – Manager: Security Risk Analysis & Strategy
Purpose
Lead and coordinate analysis of crime and security incident information, business systems and processes to proactively and reactively identify risks and develop strategies to reduce security risks and incidents.
Key responsibilities
• Gather accurate, timely and relevant data
• Coordinate and perform consolidation and analysis of information relating to crimes, suspected persons and syndicates, incidents, risks, losses, informants, etc. from a variety of sources
• Analyse this data to draw out trends and profiles, and escalate for action and participate in joint operations with authorities and other divisions
• Verify all major incidents and gather factual information
• Maintain effective reporting and close-out practices
• Identify improvements which can be made to the processes of intelligence-gathering, analysis and cooperation in order to boost success rates, and implement these improvements.

Minimum qualifications
• National Diploma in Security Risk Management, or the equivalent.
Related Minimum Experience
• 5 years’ experience in the security environment, of which 2 years are at a security officer's level
