DESIGNATION: SAP APPLICATION ANALYST (HR PAYROLL) 
GROUP: ICT SERVICES 
DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMUNICATION

Appointment Requirements: 
 National Diploma in IT or equivalent (NQF 6) 
 Bachelor's degree/ B-Tech will be an added advantage (NQF7) 
 SAP HR Payroll Module Certification 
 5 years’ relevant experience 
 
Primary Function: 
Support the business on the functional aspects of the SAP Payroll solution. To ensure the SAP ERP Payroll Solution is designed, maintained and improved so as to support business requirements. Provide the business user community with research and advice on new functionality within the specific functional area, with the view of improving and supporting business processes.

Key Responsibilities: 
Responsible for managing the daily and monthly payroll processing of the company, resolving queries accurately and timeously and maintain payroll files, create reports and ensure all payroll procedures are in line with governmental laws and company policies. Perform effective and specialized SAP Functional Support on Designated Module(s). Ensure SAP Module enhancement and alignment of SAP technology with business requirements. Ensure effectively designed properly tested solutions and up to date Documentation. Ensure proper testing of support packs, upgrades and disaster recovery. Identify training needs; development and maintenance training manuals and guides conforming to City Power standards to have knowledgeable trained end users. Ensure SAP Security Management. Develop and train junior functional SAP Application Analysts. Responsible for maintaining sound relationships with all service providers and oversee the administration of benefits such medical aid, retirement fund etc. Prepare tax reconciliations i.e. IRP5 and IT14SD for reporting purposes. Participate in projects.
