First tell-tale sign of a fraudulent email request is the email address. These scammers are obviously running out of domain names. The sender’s address reads as follows tshwane .gov.za. The space between Tshwane and .gov is clear indication of the real email address being hidden underneath.
 
enquiries@tshwane-gov.com is not the official City of Tshwane email address.
