OFFICER: PRINTING
DEPARTMENT: Group Corporate and Shared Services
BRANCH: Group SHELA and FCM
DESIGNATION: Officer: Printing
REMUNERATION: R24 119,71 pm (basic salary, excluding benefits)
LOCATION: Metropolitan Centre, 158 Civic Boulevard, Braamfontein
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 (NQF level 4);
• Completed Technical Level Module 3 (TT3) and Trade Test, with a FP & MSETA recognised Trade Certificate issued by Quality Council for Trade and Occupation (QCTO);
• Knowledge of Digital Printing/Book Binding/Lithographic Printing/Electronic Origination (Typesetting); and
• 1 – 3 years’ relevant experience in Printing.
Primary Function:
Provide a professional printing, duplication, binding and cutting services to the City of Johannesburg in line with relevant City Policies.
Key Performance Areas:
• Render desk top publishing in line with client expectations;
• Perform specific tasks associated with the stripping up of film onto Clear base and making of litho plates for the printing process;
• Perform specific activities associated with printing which include cutting of printing material to specified dimensions, specific activities associated with printing and duplicating, bookbinding and folding activities as per the work ticket;
• Perform machine routine inspection and maintenance;
• Perform administrative recording, reporting and recordkeeping activities/tasks associated with printing, such as binding, collating, stitching, folding, sorting and packaging;
• Operate digital machines;
• Comply with all relevant legislations in a print production environment;
• Perform job related administrative duties and all ad hoc duties.
