GENERAL WORKER

Minimum Requirements: 
• Grade 10/NQF level 2 is required; 
• Basic reading and writing skills; 
• Basic Cleaning skills. 
 
Primary Function: 
The position will undertake cleaning duties of clinics under supervision in the prescribed way to facilitate the delivery of acceptable health care services and standards.
 
Key Performance Areas: 
• Provide daily, weekly and when necessary, cleaning services that will create a clean and healthy environment conducive for quality health services, in Clinics and for all other Health facilities; 
• Assist all activities/tasks related to Cleaning at the PHC Unit/facility; 
• Ensure delivery of a good, clean, well-maintained service area to patients and colleagues; 
• Execute all activities related to the cleaning of both inside and external environment of the clinic or all other health facilities. 
 
Leading Competencies: 
• Teamwork; 
• Ability to read and write. 
 
Core Competencies: 
• Perform cleaning duties; 
• Follow basic instructions.

Minimum Requirements: 
• Grade 12 plus Diploma/Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery or Equivalent – Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Diagnosis, Treatment and Care/NQF level 7; 
• Proof of registration with the South African Nursing Council; 
• 5 years’ clinical experience post registration as General Nurse and Midwife; 
• 1 – 4 years’ experience after registration in Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Diagnosis, Treatment and Care; 
• Valid Driver’s license. 
 
Primary Function:
Coordinate the operation of the Primary Health Care programmes such as Quality Assurance, skills development and training and monitors and the execution pf procedural requirements and specialized interventions associated with the monitoring, evaluation, and control of quality of district hath programmes. Responsible for dissemination of advice and information on policies relating to Primary Health Care programmes and health issues to both the employees and the local community in order ensure the provision of quality health care in the health regions of the City of Johannesburg. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
• Identify and define the immediate, short and long objectives and plans associated with quality assurance, skills development and training on health programmes; 
• Coordinate specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with operational key performance and result indicators; 
• Implement financial process according to supply chain management policy and Municipal Finance Management and financial control processes; 
• Monitor and evaluate the Quality Assurance Skills Development and training programmes undertaken by the region so that they are always in line with strategic imperatives of the Council and contributes to improved health services delivery; 
• Coordinate and conduct Education and Training programmes on the Quality of all PHC programmes to the health personnel and the local community; 
• Coordinate and control Quality Assurance and Skills Development programmes task and activities associated with personnel performance. 
 
Leading Competencies:

• Good communication and coordinating sills required.

Minimum Requirements: 
• Basic Professional Nursing Qualification accredited with south Africa Nursing council (SANC) and allows for registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse (Diploma /Degree or Equivalent) at NQF Level 7; 
• Diploma/Degree in Health Assessment, Treatment and Care at NQF Level 6/7; 
• Degree/Advanced Diploma in Health Service Management (Nursing administration) with community Nursing Science and or Nursing Education NQF Level 7; 
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience after the basic qualification; and 
• 5 years or more experience in the Primary Health care setting; and 
• 3 years’ experience as Operational Manager, Quality Assurance, Clinics or Programmes; 
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Research, Monitoring and Evaluation of Health Programmes, District Health information System, Training and Development; 
• Must have a valid driver’s license. 
 
Primary Function:
Manager, coordinate, plan monitor and evaluate District Health Systems priorities, i.e NHI, Quality Assurance. Reporting sequences of outcomes associated with PHC plans and clinical programmes designed to accomplish key PHC service delivery objectives in supporting and implementing high quality status of the ideal status and ensuring compliance with regulated norms and standards in readiness for the National Health Insurance. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
• Identify and define the immediate, short, intermediate and long-term objectives/plans associated with the provision of National PHC Core package of service, District Health Information Systems (DHIS), Training programmes and Research within the City; 
• Identify and define the short to medium term objectives and priorities of the Quality Assurance and the National Core Package of service encapsulating procurement, expenditure and control functionalities by monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the activities and procedures in accordance with the MFMA and other relevant frameworks; 
• Monitor and evaluate health information processes that are specific to the operations of the service delivery issues pertaining to the National PHC core Package of service, District Health Information System (DHIS) Quality Assurance programmes and Research within the City; 
• Implement procedures, systems and control to regulate specific work sequences associated with the functionality of health care service in the COJ district, so that they are always in line with strategic imperatives of the Council, the National Core Norms and standards and contributes to improved health service delivery; 
• Monitor and evaluate the Quality Assurance Programmes and lead Clinic status undertaken by the region; 
• Manage, lead, plan, organize, control, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel involved in the PHC training programmes; 
• Manage, lead, plan, organize control, monitor and evaluate the implementation of Quality Assurance Programmes and National Core Package of services and activities; 
• Coordinate specific administrative and reporting associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality.
