SHORT TERM CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT - (STC)
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Group Corporate & Shared Services Department has the following short term contract opportunity for a period NOT exceeding twelve (12) months.
The details are as follows:
1. Department: Group Corporate & Shared Services
Branch: Group Human Capital Management (GHCM)
Designation: Project Manager: GHCM SAP Project
Salary: R47 283.61 pm (total cost to company)
Appointment Requirements:
• Degree in Administration/Management/HR/Strategy/Finance or any other relevant degree at NQF level 7;
• 5 - 8 years in a senior position in a large organisation, Municipality, Government Entity where important functions are clustered together;
• Information Technology infrastructure in the following areas:
- Applications system management, design, development and support inclusive in HR application systems;
- Infrastructure architecture inclusive of networks, mainframe, midrange, servers and personal computer systems;
- Business system analysis, specification, design development and implementation;
• Solid Project Management experience inclusive of general Human Capital Management (HCM) and SAP HCM systems;
• Management System Information reporting of HCM Information;
• Experience and understanding of the shared services operating model within Local Government environment;
• Service management experience and understanding of the role of services management technology and processes in the implementation and measurement of service level agreements and the relationship of these to the HCM applications in business and the implementation thereof within Local Government;
• HCM processes in business and within Local Government;
• Audit controls within HCM;
• Development of Standard Operating Procedures; and
• HCM experience in Local Government in general.
The following would be an advantage
• Specific experience within an IT HCM Systems Application environment (At least 10 years);
• Specific experience within an IT infrastructure architecture and design environment (At least 7 years);
• Local Government experience (At least 7 years); and
• Consultation experience to Local Government in relation to the IT/HCM environment (minimum 3 years).
Primary Function: Provide the office of the Group Head: Group Human Capital Management with SAP Business Transformation project management by interfacing and consolidating required information from Group CoJ/Municipal Entities through consultation with high level role players. Manage the SAP GHCM implementation with a specific role to lead, guide and present GHCM Business in the SAP Business Transformation Project.
Key Performance Areas: Provide a full project and programme management function and manage all aspects of people management as it relates to the SAP Business Transformation Project. Project management of all aspects of the GHCM SAP Implementation Programme and subsequent automation processes. Engage with internal and external high level stakeholders on GHCM SAP implementation related activities. Assist to coordinate and manage all GHCM SAP Business Transformation audit related matters.
Leading Competencies: Leadership, People Management. Project Management; Financial Management, Change Management and Human Resource Management.
Core Competencies: Advanced skills in computer literacy; interpersonal; report writing at Senior Management level.
