Primary Function:

Primary Function:

REMUNERATION: R461 525,52 pa (all-inclusive cost to company)
LOCATION: Metropolitan Centre, 158 Civic Boulevard, Braamfontein
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric plus a Public Administration, Policy or Relations Certificate at NQF level 5;
• 1 – 3 years in a secretariat position; working in the political environment and communities and civil society organisation; and
• Understanding of Public Policy and Political Administration as well as knowledge of dynamics of political party.
Primary Function:
Provide any administrative and logistical support as requested by the Directorate and the Whippery in general.
Key Performance Areas:
• Provide effective and administrative support to all party Whips as assigned by the Office Manager and the whole Whippery in general;
• Processing of orders and assist in stock taking and dealing with relevant suppliers;
• Make appointments and plan for functions and meetings for Whippery;
• Provide administrative support in relation to the Unit and Training Committee meetings proceedings;
• Coordinate and manage the activities and requirements of the Whips and study groups;
• Provide filing of all relevant and confidential information.
Leading Competencies:
• Computer literacy (MS Office Packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and must be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with other stakeholders;
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy and excellent planning, organising, coordinating and time management skills;
• Should be able to perform functions requiring mobility (i.e. serving documentation between departments).
