OFFICE MANAGER

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Grade 12; 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration / Business Management / Public Administration / Office Management or related field (NQF level 7); 
  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in a customer care environment. 
 
Primary Function:
Support the Office of MMC with information, administrative, and facilitation support duties in order to provide a better service and customer care to internal and external clients. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
  • Provide administrative support associated with the office of the MMC; 
  • Manage the implementation of procedures and systems associated with controlling document flow and regulating record keeping; 
  • Coordinate specific logistical requirements associated with meetings hosted by the Office of the MMC and sign-off on matters for action; 
  • Effectively liaise and support the MMC in ensuring qualitative and timeous resolution of Councillor matters and queries; 
  • Perform specific tasks/activities associated with the provision of Secretarial Support.
 
Leading Competencies: 
  • General Management of the Office of the MMC in terms of administration, finance and logistics; 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

An internship programme is an intervention by the City of Johannesburg to address the growing demand by a tertiary institution for students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire an academic qualification or as a requirement after the acquisition of academic qualification to obtain experiential training. The City is committed to providing work-based training for students.
  • This internship opportunity is applicable to youth in the Johannesburg communities, who qualifies for this internship and have never participated in an internship programme before. 
  • This Vacancy is open to all qualifying STUDENTS in the Johannesburg Community for a period not exceeding 18 months

Primary Function:
Provide an efficient and effective Civil Engineering service in the implement and monitoring of Transport Infrastructure Implementation project. Assist in managing all construction to be undertaken by the Transport department.

  • Consult with the Planning unit ensure that projects are implemented as per Transport master Plan; 
  • Ensure that financial management are conducted in accordance with MFMA; 
  • Prepare financial management filing and monitoring; 
  • Ensure that monthly reports are submitted accurately and on time; 
  • To ensure that projects performance in monitored and evaluated on a regular basis;

  • Computer Literacy on Microsoft Office Application- Word, Excel and PowerPoint; 
  • Interpretation of Building and Civil construction drawings;
