Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 plus B Degree/qualification at NQF level 7 in Transport Economics or Civil Engineering Discipline, with relevant work experience and a proven track record;
• 7 – 9 years’ experience in a Business Development or Public Transport environment of which 2 – 3 years in middle management.
Primary Function:
Lead and manage the implementation of the public transport transformation strategy and public transport operational economics. Requires creative-thinking and an in-depth understanding of public transport operations, economics and the public transport transformation agenda. Develop strategies, innovative and efficient solutions in relation to continuous growing technology trends as determined based on customer needs. Responsible for monitoring operational demand and supply within corridors for elasticity. Responsible to deliver projects across all areas of public transport transformation, form new technology and infrastructure to customer service initiatives.
Key Performance Areas:
• Strategic planning and management to ensure the Unit strategically addresses the imperative of the City and that delivery of the transport transformation agenda is done in a cost-effective and efficient manner in line with relevant legislation and policies;
• Lead and direct staff within the Department so that they are able to achieve the objectives set for them. Defining/adjusting the role boundaries, workflow processes, and job design against laid down delivery requirements;
• Ensure that Transport Transformation forms an integral part of the broader strategic planning for the City;

• Oversee the implementation, review and management of contract with all internal and external service providers to assist in carrying out the functions of the support services within the Section and Municipality;

• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA);

Primary Function:
Provide a driver/messenger service within the Property Branch to carry out collections and deliveries so that required mail and documents are collected, sorted, recorded and delivered where required. Provide general office and administrative support services, filing, scanning, photocopying and archiving documents, for human resource and performance management functions, with guidance from the Operational Manager.

REMUNERATION: R24 119,71 pm (basic salary, excluding benefits)
LOCATION: Metropolitan Centre, 158 Civic Boulevard, Braamfontein
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Administration/Business Studies/Law/Supply Chain equivalent to NQF level 6;
• 1 - 3 years relevant experience.
Primary Function:
Support services to the Bid Evaluation and Bid Adjudication Committees. Responsible for the effective and efficient administration of the Committees.

• Manage all activities related to the administration of committees;

• Perform specific tasks/activities associated with the provision of administration and secretarial support;

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 plus National Diploma or any tertiary qualification Communication, Public Relation or Social Sciences related field at NQF level 6;
• 3 - 5 years’ experience previous management experience in a related field;
• Experience in managing public sector stakeholders is an added advantage which presupposes an understanding of the public sector industry;
• Knowledge of local, provincial, and national political and legislative framework and dynamics and other business processes;
• Basic knowledge of stakeholder relations and stakeholder matrix;
• Knowledge of community consultation;
• Valid driver’s licence.
Primary Function:
Develop and maintain valuable stakeholder relationships. Develop and implement engagement strategies. Assist business units to effectively consult and engage stakeholders on relevant projects. Providing administrative support for services, projects, and programs with a focus on excellence in process and engagement. Support and develop implementation and stakeholder engagement plans including detailed tactical delivery plans.
Key Performance Areas:
• Validate and verify the accuracy and competencies of customer information and assess the quality of information;
• Manage work status activities and collate feedback;
• Manage the human resources within the department in enabling the achievement of objectives of each;
• Manage all aspects of the finance, including but not limited to expenditure in accordance to the legislative framework as well as the City’s policies and procedures;
• Safeguarding and maintaining the proper use of all assets;
• Comply with all relevant legislation, manage and mitigate risk effectively;
• Provide quality reports on the functions and performance of the team which are factually accurate and complete; timely and contribute to and support the overall requirements of the department;
• Manage procedural requirements associated with personnel development initiatives;
• Staff development and performance monitoring.
