ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Office oof Ombudsman Department has the following short-term contract opportunity for a period NOT exceeding one year. 
Department: Office of the Executive Mayor 
Branch: Office of the Ombudsman 
Designation: Administrative Assistant 
Remuneration: R16 427.66 pm (no benefits) 
Location: Sappi Building 2nd & 3rd floor East Wing Ameshoff Street, Braamfontein
 
Minimum requirements: 
• Grade 12 / NQF level 4 plus administrative qualification. 
• 1 - 3 years ‘relevant experience in administrative work environment. 
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint); 
• Understanding of relevant Municipal Legislation, Policies and procedures; 
• Effective office administration; 
• Data Capturing, Management, and filing. 
• Facility and asset management 
• Stakeholder management 
 
Primary Function: 
Provide efficient administrative support service in relation Office administration, Programme administration and coordination of functionality within the Strategic Management Services Unit towards the attainment of unit objectives.

• Conduct specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with key performance areas and results indicators; 
• Monitor and control the Operations of the Regional units within department of social development; 
• Assets Management; 
• Facility Management
