Minimum Requirements:
  • National Diploma: Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • 5 years' experience in similar environment of which 3 years’ experience must be in municipal water meter industry
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects regarding water services by laws and tariffs.
  • Coordinate, supervision and contribution to technical, maintenance and operational activities of the department.
  • Investigate complaints from the public and resolve where applicable, provide information/ reports and feedback where required by the public.
  • Maintain accurate records with regard to site diaries, measurements, site instructions variation orders and inspections.
  • Administer, implement, and supervise operational governance and risk management processes.
  • Ensure that financial administration delivery process comply with internal control and governance standards and report on any deviation.
  • Liaise with the public/ consumers, contractors, developers and other internal and external resources.
  • Maintain good industrial relations with subordinates and co-workers to control effective administrative function.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree/B-Tech in Recreation Management or Recreation Leisure or any relevant degree
  • Swimming Pool Management certificate or Adventure Recreation Association (ARA) certificate
  • Must be able to work independently

Core Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for management and operation of all activities as well as capital projects within the section
  • Perform management functions in its broadest sense to meet stated objectives regarding all aquatics activities and functions
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of administrative functions pertaining to Aquatics
  • Manage discipline and good human relations
  • Implement contracts complying with CoE policies and achieving departmental KPIs and KPAs Responsible for the management and safe operation of all swimming pools in the CoE.

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and review of Pool Safety Operating standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 in the swimming pool environment
  • Responsible for the training and development of employees within the section
  • Handle Labour Relations matters to ensure a conducive working environment
  • Align work method in response to changes in policies, processes, SOPs and delivery systems in line with contracted targets
  • Ensure that completed work adheres to governance and legislative requirements
  • Maintain professional interaction and ensure ethical dealings with stakeholders at all times
  • Handle & resolve complaints from the public pertaining to issues related to swimming pool

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Town and Regional Planning or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • Registration with SACPLAN
  • 5 or more years' experience in a similar environment
  • A valid drivers license
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform all town planning work regarding all aspects of development and land use management in terms of applicable legislation and managing all functions at the Customer Care
  • Identify and initiate land development opportunities and pursue the necessary processes to ensure the fruition thereof with the assistance of the corporate office and spatial planning by keeping abreast with development trends and needs through liaison with developers, consultants, public and other departments to promote the optimum use of land in a manner that will satisfy community needs and promote local economic development
  • Oversee the receiving, evaluation and report writing in connection with land development / town planning applications by ensuring that an effective and efficient administrative system is implemented in respect of the receiving and circulation of applications, which allows the manager at all times to be informed about and to monitor the quality of all incoming and outgoing correspondence at the Customer Care area. Furthermore, by ensuring that all staff are familiar with the administrative system and required formats and evaluation criteria
  • Manage the processing and consideration of liquor licenses against the zoning of subject properties and make a recommendation to the liquor board for consideration
  • Manage the process of obtaining the comments from all engineering departments as well as the finance department and ultimately the CFO before compiling compliance certificates for all townships
  • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policy and processes to identify and manage governance and risk expose liability
  • Manage financial process to ensure the effective use of Municipal funds and assets, as intended in the MFMA
  • Enable a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitate service feedback and allows others to provide exceptional customer service
