Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant NQF level 6
• 10 - 15 years' relevant experience in Municipal Administration and Sector Development
• Conflict management skill
• Problem solving skills
• Knowledge of disciplinary processes

 
Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise, lead and control the general operations and related activities for the market, ensuring effective service and smooth operation of the market
• Provide strategic input capability and leadership in the development of the market policies and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient market operations functions
• Manage and maintain governance and risk management activities of the division to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements
• Participate in and implement the financial process of the division during budgetary processes to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA
• Manage and ensure customer service orientation environment to ensure sound relations with the customer

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
