Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Driver's licence
- At least 1 years' experience in a similar environment
- Registration with ECSA as Engineering Technician will serve as an advantage
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests of construction materials, prepare sketches and tabulations.
- Assist in evaluating designs for the Department and Private Developers for the implementation of the Roads and Stormwater Infrastructure
- Ensure compliance of design specifications and acceptance in terms of the City, SABS and National Traffic standards.
- Assist in conducting investigation related to designs
- Site inspections and attendance of site meetings.
- Assist in facilitating Wayleave processes and any other ad hoc design related functions.
- Ensure designs meet the required quality standards
- Supervision and management of subordinates
- Dealing with discipline of subordinates
- Identify and coordinate the training needs of the subordinates.
- Ensure compliance with Municipal and Departmental Policies

Minimum Requirements:
- B Degree in Human Resources or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
- 2-5 years' experience with performance management track record in local government or similar environment
- Good communication skills
- Good people skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Annually compile and align performance agreements in line with Integrated Development Plan and Service Delivery Budget and Implementation Plan and facilitate quarterly reviews and performance assessments.
- Advise on and contribute towards the implementation, adherence and maintenance of policies as well as national legislations on management of performance within the organisation
- Contribute to the implementation of performance management and improvement processes that lead to a positive and measurable impact in CoE to ensure the availability of a well skilled, effective and productive workforce
- Implement operational processes to regulate the implementation of performance management in the CoE to ensure that operational processes are managed to deliver appropriate services that are accurate and of high quality
- Implement and maintain governance and risk management to ensure reduction/elimination of risk related to talent and performance management
- Implement people management in order to provide specialist support and advise in accodance with required response time, quality and service delivery standards
- Implement financial processes within the division to comply with the requirements of the MFMA and to ensure sound financial management

Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment and selection, placement, remuneration and benefits administration functions for the division within the SLA timelines
- Perform personnel administrative duties in order to render an effective human resource administrative service
- Execute all remuneration and benefits administration service
- Maintain the human resources archive system by implementing procedures and systems as determined by management that ensure updated human resources archive system
- Implement governance and risk management to maintain good governance
- Implement financial processes to adhere to the MFMA
- Implement customer service orientation to ensure compliance with the Batho Pele Principles
