Minimum Requirements:
  • B Degree in Development Studies / Agriculture or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 10 - 15 years' experience in a Municipal environment
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organise, lead and control mobilising of resources regarding investment and agricultural initiatives and projects
  • Provide strategic input capability and leadership in the development of the commercial agriculture policies and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient commercial agriculture development functions
  • Plan and implement operational process that are aligned with the divisional objectives to ensure implementation of the operational processes as contemplated in the defined operational strategy of the division
  • Manage and maintain governance and risk management activities of the division to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements
  • Participate in and implement in the financial process of the division during budgetary processes to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA
  • Manage and ensure customer service orientation environment to ensure sound relations with the customer in relation to commercial agriculture development activities

  • Grade 10/ABET Level 1
  • A valid Code C driver's licence
  • Ability to read, write and communicate
  • 1 year relevant experience
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Cut grass on sportfields and surroundings
  • Transport raw materials
  • Clean and store all machinery and Horticultural equipment
  • Report damages and irregularities to the supervisor
  • Water garden, tilt flower beds, cut lawns by using water tank and garden equipment
  • Do general painting and other minor winter programme duties
  • Adhere to safety requirements as prescribed by the Safety Act
  • Adhere to Batho Pele Principles
