Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Relevant Diploma in the field/Advanced Certificate/Occupational Certificate or related NQF Level 6
  • Valid Code B Driver's Licence
  • Computer Literacy
  • 3 years' relevant experience
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage short-, medium- and long-term operational processes within the Waste Management operations depot
  • Coordinate activities of various sub services within the depot to ensure optimal utilization of resources
  • Plan for vehicle routes to balance activities and ensure equal work distribution and vehicle distribution
  • Maintain the administrative processes of the Waste Management Operations depot
  • Plan for operational requirements by means of ensuring a balance between productivity vs workloads
  • Identify training needs for personnel and enforce discipline when required to
  • Ensure proper supervision of applying council policies and improve work relationships
  • Plan for activities that expand the service provision and generating revenue for the Municipality
  • Ensure optimal and cost effectiveness of services rendered within the section
  • Control income vs expenditure within the section
  • Manage the fleet of the Waste Management operations depot
  • Ensure optimal utilization of rendering refuse removal services
  • Ensure good relationships and excellent liaison with stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:
  • BA in Journalism or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Advise on press coverage, online and social media strategies that will contribute to positive media exposure and image building
  • Draft press releases and contact people in the media who might print or broadcast news worthy material
  • Responsible for setting up public appearances, handling conflicts and keeping the public updated on vital organisational information
  • Advise staff on formalities and courtesies that should be observed when associating with external stakeholders and visitors
  • Assist with media groups, stakeholders and public relation events in overall support of market image and messaging
  • Liaise and interact with other organisational departments and offices to advice on and successfully deliver protocol management within EMM
  • Articulate and communicate news worthy matters, organisational policies and legislation on behalf of EMM
  • Ensure timely and effective media worthy news and related communication to the organisation
  • Implement and provide input into governance and risk management processes, systems and legislation
  • Ensure that financial administration delivery processes comply with internal control and governance standards and report on any deviations
