The Mayoral handbook (2019) has provided for positions in order to enable the offices of the full-time Councillors to operate optimally. It is therefore called upon candidates who qualify to apply for the following position:
 
SENIOR MANAGER: EXECUTIVE SUPPORT SERVICES
(TWO (2) YEAR FIXED EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT)
[Task Grade 16: Salary Scale R 515, 661.00 — R 669, 359.00 per annum plus benefits]
TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE — R886 514.16 per annum (subject to certain conditions)
 

Requirements

• Metric
• A Bachelor's Degree/National Diploma in Public Administration/ Law or any relevant qualification at NQF Level 6.
• Post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least 5 — 7 years' relevant experience of which five (5) years must be at managerial level.
• Valid driver's license
 
Key Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)
• Provide Strategic Support to the Executive Mayor.
• Coordinate programs of the office of the Executive Mayor. 
• Ensure the alignment of the Diary of the Executive Mayor.
• Monitors and controls outcomes associated with coordination of special events for the Executive Mayor.
• Attend management sessions of the institution.
• Look at the consolidation of the Office of the Executive Mayor's budget.
• Serves as a link to TROIKA.
• applications associated with the provision of driving and security at Special Events/ Functions attended by the Executive Mayor.
