MANAGER: REVENUE MANAGEMENT
Task Grade 16 Salary Scale R583, 503.00 – R 757,422.00 per annum Total remuneration package: R996, 160.00 per annum (subject to certain conditions)
Minimum Requirements
Matric
Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Accounting or relevant qualification majoring in Accounting at NQF level 6.
At least 5 – 7 years relevant experience of which three (3) years at supervisory or managerial level.
Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Determine and implement revenue management processes and related policy objectives.
Manages the Revenue division comprising the consolidated billing services, enquiries, credit control, debt management, meter reading, properties and rates of the Municipality.
Manage and monitor the effective collection of revenue for the Municipality.
Manage and control the reconciliation of debtors and creditor’s suspense and control accounts on a monthly basis to support the financial statements.
Preparing, reconciling and ensuring accurate and timely relevant statutory reporting in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No 56 of 2003) (MFMA) and Annual Division of Revenue Act.
Manages, controls and directs the implementation of specific financial procedures, systems and controls associated with the various financial activities of revenue management section.
Oversee the age analysis of debts and devise strategies for collection.
Responsible for providing direction, leadership and coordination to the staff in the Revenue section.
SENIOR ORDER CLERK
[Task Grade 07: Salary Scale R178, 279.00- R231, 387.00 per annum plus benefits]
Minimum requirements:
• Matric,
• Certificate in Supply Chain Management or relevant Qualification majoring with Supply Chain or Accounting at NQF Level 4.
• At least 1-2 years relevant experience
• Proof of Computer Literacy
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Capturing & Verifying of information in the requisition book
• Ensuring that relevant supporting documents are present and necessary signatories are obtained.
• Verifying that the correct vote is used for specific projects
• Verifying that sufficient funds are available in the vote.
• Updating files insert current and relevant information and seeking approval on the destruction of old and outdated correspondence/ documentation.
• Retrieving supporting documentation and records to facilitate and support query resolution

PROCUREMENT CLERK
[Task Grade 06: Salary Scale R147, 455.00- R191, 419.00 per annum plus benefits]
Minimum requirements:
• Matric,
• Certificate in Supply Chain Management or relevant Qualification majoring with Supply Chain or Accounting at NQF Level 4.
• At least 1-2 years relevant experience
• Proof of Computer Literacy
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Responsible for administrative function of the section
• Dealing with requests for quotes
• Register and update the information of Services providers in the data base
• Liaise with the service provider regarding their regulation status.
• Maintain filling and updating of registration documents for audit purpose.
• Monitor Bid registration on the website and on procurement software
EXPENDITURE CLERK- PROJECTS
[Task Grade 05: Salary Scale R124, 908.00- R162, 130.00 per annum plus benefits]
Minimum requirements:
• Matric,
• Certificate in Accountancy at NQF Level 4 or NHC: Accountancy.
• At least 1-2 years relevant experience
• Proof of Computer Literacy
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Processing information referring to approved supplier/ service provider documentation
• Checking and verifying all payment documents and processes
• Generate and compile project creditor reports/ statement and monthly expenditure reports.
• Conduct reconciliation on project accounts and Bank Statements.
• Preparing cheque Requisitions or EFT payments to maintain correctness of payee and accuracy of the claim
• Capture journal entries for transferring of funds for the municipality
• Attending to administrative activities of the function
