​REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR LOCATION: KWA-ZULU NATAL 

(FIXED TERM CONTRACT UP TO 31 MARCH 2030) 
An opportunity exists at the CHIETA head office for a Regional Administrator on a fixed-term contract up to 31 March 2030. The incumbent in the positions will provide support to the Grants Projects and Regional Business Unit. The position reports to the Grants Regional Manager. Candidates who meet the requirements of the position are invited to apply. 
 
Requirements:
  • NQF 6
  • Must have between 1 to 3 years of proven experience working experience in Grants, Business Administration, Accounting, SETA, and or similar environment 
 
Key Performance Areas 
  • Ensures Workplace Skills Plans are submitted timeously by employers, follows up on late submissions. 
  • Ensures Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports complies with legislation and CHIETA policies. 
  • Receives and resolves employers and skills development facilitators queries regarding acceptance of WSP’s and ATR’s and rejection of incorrect submissions. 
  • Handles the payments of Mandatory Grants to qualifying employers and organizations. 
  • Approves WSP’s for capturing and payment of Mandatory Grants. 
  • Verifies details on grant schedule; reconciles payments made; verifies Levy Payments and compiles a variance report. 
  • Facilitates workshops, exhibitions and engages with prospective employers on levy payments.
  • Requests Inter-Seta transfers and payments in accordance with standard operating procedures 
  • Liaises with other SETA’s and DHET regarding Inter-SETA transfers. 
  • Provides data, information in preparation of quarterly reports for DHET. 
  • Assists employers who are registered with incorrect SETA. 
  • Redirects WSP’s to correct SETA when necessary.
