POST: LECTURER PL1: Artisan Plumbing - Permanent 
REF NO: CJC/EP/007/2026 
SALARY: R 270 498 per annum (PL1) plus benefits as applicable in the Public Sector 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12/ Matric equivalent plus N3 Certificate and a trade test in plumbing. Assessor certificate. A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification industrial/ construction experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. SACE Registered. 
 
DUTIES: Assessment of occupational programme candidates in the relevant trade - Moderation of occupational programme candidates in the relevant field - Provide feedback to occupational programme candidates on assessment outcomes - Populate and complete occupational programme documents for submission to QCTO – Participate on trial when required for external or internal monitoring, audits and verification process of assessments - Maintain updated personal registration records and as per accreditation quality assurance requirements Must be able to teach the following subject: Plumbing L2 – L4

ADVERTISEMENT: FINANCE AND INVESTMENT COMMITTEE ADVISOR – COLLEGE COUNCIL 

The Council of Central Johannesburg TVET College invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve as an Advisor to the Finance and Investment Committee of Council in terms of Section 12(b) of the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Act, 2006 (Act No. 16 of 2006). 
 
Role Overview: 
The Advisor will provide independent, expert guidance to the current Council on financial strategy, investment governance, risk management, and the overall financial sustainability of the College. This is an advisory role and does not constitute membership of the Council. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Advise on budgets, financial performance, and long‑term financial planning. 
  • Professional qualifications such as CA(SA), CFA, or equivalent will be an advantage. 
  • Guide investment policy, portfolio oversight, and risk‑return assessments. 
  • Experience in the public sector, preferably in TVET colleges or higher education institutions, will be an added advantage. 
  • Support compliance with PFMA‑aligned principles and sector regulations 
  • Proven ability to provide strategic financial advice and support governance structures. 
  • Strengthen financial controls, audit follow‑up, and governance practices. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Council members and senior management. 
  • Participate in Committee meetings and provide objective, evidence‑based insights 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  • A Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management or a related field. 
  • Professional designation such as CA(SA), CIMA, CFA, or equivalent will be an advantage. 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ senior experience in financial management, auditing. corporate finance, investment oversight 
  • Strong knowledge of public sector financial frameworks and governance. 
  • Knowledge and experience in the public sector, preferably in TVET colleges or higher education institutions, will be an added advantage. 
  • Strong knowledge of financial legislation and regulatory frameworks, including the CET Act, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and relevant investment guidelines. 
  • High ethical standard and independent of judgement. 
 
 
Remuneration:
Remuneration will be in accordance with Council policy for advisory roles.
