EXTERNAL VACANCIES: TEN (10) IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAMME 2025/2026 CEF SOC EIGHT (8) SANDTON AND TWO (2) SANPC REFINERY.
CEF is a Schedule 2 state owned diversified energy company reporting to the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy. The Mandate of CEF is to contribute to the security of energy supply of South Africa and the Region through exploration, acquisition, development, marketing and strategic partnership. It is derived from the CEF Act (No 38 of 1977) and the Ministerial directives issued thereafter.
The Central Energy Fund (CEF SOC) invites applications from TVET college students who have successfully completed their N6 Certificate theoretical studies and require practical experience to fulfil the requirements of their qualification.
Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply for the In-Service Training Programme, which offers valuable workplace exposure aligned with the fields of study outlined below.
 
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Applicants must have a Matric certificate and an N6 qualification in one of the following fields: HR Management, Public Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain/ Logistics, Financial Management, Chemical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering.
  • A letter from the institution confirming completion of theoretical studies and the requirement for in-service training must be provided
  • Must be between ages of 16-25
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must not be enrolled in any other In-service training or Internship programme.

JOB PURPOSE:
To provide administrative, logistical, and coordination support to the HRBP team, enabling efficient delivery of HR operations across business units. The HR Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless support in areas such as employee relations, on boarding, data management, HR reporting, and project coordination.
 
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Matric and certificate (NQF5) in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience performing similar HR functions/duties.
  • Proven experience in supporting multiple stakeholders will serve as an advantage.
  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification will serve as an added advantage.
  • Exposure to online HR platforms/ systems, experience in the public sector and in employee relations will serve as an added advantage.
 
DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:
  • Basic understanding of HR policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of HR functions, practices and labour legislation (LRA, EEA, BCEA)
  • Understanding of HR reporting and compliance standards.
  • Administrative skills and basic reporting skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Conscientious, time management skills, service orientated and accountable.
 
 KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
 HR Administration Support
  • Maintain employee records and HR filing system
  • Support team with drafting correspondence, minutes and reports
  • Schedule team meetings and coordinate the logistics
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the team and assist in audit preparations
Talent Acquisition Support
  • Post job advertisements on internal and external platforms.
  • Schedule interviews with candidates and coordinate travel arrangements if necessary.
  • Preparation of interview guides.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks.
On boarding & Off boarding
  • Support on boarding process by coordinating the distribution and receipt of new engagement documentation.
  • Coordinate exit interview process and capture results.
  • Coordinate termination process.
 Employee Relations Support
  • Schedule ER meetings, hearings and coordinate the logistics (book meeting room, arrange refreshments, transport, accommodation, etc).
  • File and track disciplinary and grievance case documentation.
HR Reporting & Data Management 
  • Update and maintain HR databases and trackers.
  • Ensure data is accurately captured and make corrections where required
  • Compile monthly HR report using the data
