Job Summary Statement

To manage the execution of the required work within the project schedules and contractual agreements, ensuring technical excellence and effective coordination of the respective staff within the project team. Plan, direct, coordinate, or budget, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.

Minimum Requirements
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12.
National Diploma - Mining Engineering will be an advantage.
Opencast Blasting Certificate.
Competent A.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 5 years’ applicable Supervisory experience in the Surface Mining environment
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and monitor the production process.
- Ensure optimal plant utilisation & availability.
- Ensure that all prime equipments achieves the target hourly tempos.
- Ensure that all equipments achieves a minimum shift target seven and half (7,5) operating hours.
- Plays a key role in all people management processes.
- Responsible for ensuring all administrative requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance to Safety and Quality policies, procedures and standards.
- Adhere to handover procedure.
- Night hand over procedure
- Manage on time completion of plant for project.
- External client / supplier liaison.
- Ensure that procedures and COP’s are strictly adhered to.
- Technical supervision.
