BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Armscor is a state - owned company, renowned for its acquisition expertise, the Organisation focuses on producing research and vanguard technological solutions required to provide safety and security for South Africa, its citizens and the continent.
Business Development Manager to be based at its Head Office in Pretoria. The role focuses on developing and implementing strategies to ensure the organisation's financial sustainability, with a strong emphasis on business development within the defence sector.
Requirements:
• A B Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Management, or Commerce (postgraduate qualification an advantage).
• At least 10 years' experience, including 5 years in middle management within business development/marketing, with proven success in securing contracts.
• Experience in the defence environment is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
• Driving revenue growth through business development initiatives.
• Building strategic partnerships with government, defence industry stakeholders and international partners.
• Conducting market and competitive analysis to guide go-to-market strategies.
• Leading proposals, negotiations, and contract finalisation in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Representing Armscor at trade shows, exhibitions, and international defence forums.
• Managing risk, compliance, and stakeholder relations.
The position requires strong leadership, analytical ability, contract management expertise, and the capacity to work with high-level stakeholders locally and internationally.

FOREIGN LIAISON MANAGER
Armaments Corporation of South Africa (Atinscor) is a state-owned company.

The Foreign Liaison Manager role combines international relations and business development, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with foreign governments, military organisations, defence agencies, and industry partners.
The role facilitates strategic collaborations, ensures compliance with international regulations, and supports defence and security initiatives in line with Armscor's mandate and South Africa's national objectives.
The incumbent will support the Executive Manager: Business Development and Industry Support in the development and implementation of operational plans for defence partnerships and regional security frameworks.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to:
- Identify and secure new opportunities through diplomatic channels.
- Develop and implement business development strategies into foreign markets
- Negotiate and close deals with international partners.
Qualifications and Experience: • B Degree (International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Defence Studies/Business Management) or a related field. • A Post graduate qualification will be an advantage. • 8+ years of experience in defence, foreign relations, diplomatic corps or a similar role within a business development environment. Military diplomacy or defence attaché assignments will be an advantage.• Proven experience in contributing to international defence protocols, foreign policy and security cooperation frameworks. • Proven track record in managing stakeholder relationships, international engagements or negotiations, preferably in a defence or military context.

FIXED TERM POSITION (18 Months)
DIVISIONAL MANAGER -
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of an integrated project management system that enables real-time tracking, performance monitoring, and reporting across Armscor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: • Grade 12 • Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: • Over 10 years' project management systems and reporting with expertise in project management system monitoring within engineering, or related fields including at least 3 years in a management role. • Proven trackrecord in implementing enterprise-level ICT-enabled project management systems. • Expertise in project management software (MS Project, Jira) and BI tools (Power BI, Hadoop) • Demonstrated experience in real-time data monitoring and performance reporting • Strong experience in leading cross functional teams and portfolio governance structures.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS: The incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions but not limited to; • Architect and implement an integrated Project Management System (PMS) to support multiple methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and maturity levels. • Ensure scalability and flexibility of the system to accommodate various project typologies, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and maturity levels. • Develop and institutionalise enterprise project governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and toolkits. • Implement predictive analytics and forecasting models to identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. • Monitor financial performance, including ROI,cost-to-completion, capital efficiency, and value leakage. • Lead data-driven war room operations to accelerate delivery and resolve systemic project constraints. • Provide strategic performance insights to executive leadership, board committees, and other key stakeholders. • Drive interventions to unblock stalled initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS: • Expert understanding of project management systems and engineering project lifecycles. • Strong analytical, data visualisation, and business intelligence skills. • Change management, systems integration, and business process re-engineering expertise. • Financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis capabilities.
