ABOUT THE JOB:
Contribute to the delivery of an effective, continuous physical security service aimed at safeguarding Armscor’s personnel, visitors, and organisational assets.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Grade 12.
· Successful completion of Security Officer Grade B (PSIRA recognised).
· Firearm Competency certificate.
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in duties and functions of a Security Officer Grade B and control room operations.
· Experience in the handling and operating security equipments.
· Military or SAPS experience would be an added advantage.
TECHNICAL / LEGAL CERTIFICATE / PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION
· Valid PSIRA Registration.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS
· Conduct access and exit control as required by relevant security point to maintain proper security on the premises and to prevent loss of corporate assets.
· Perform duties at the security point assigned by applying observation, guarding and patrolling in order to enforce effective physical security as instructed and to prevent security breaches.
· Report observed security risks, safety hazards, suspicious objects and persons to the Shift Leader.
· Execute protection functions in accordance with policy and procedures and within the ambit of the law.
· Report incidents to the Shift Leader.
· Apply knowledge of bombs, explosive devices and firearms as necessary and in accordance with procedures.
· Prevent, contain fire and handle emergency situations as necessary.
· Perform routine security-related admin tasks (completing registers, etc.).
· Conduct searches of goods, vehicles and persons.
· Exercise company (Armscor) asset loss control.
· Ensure effective use of X-ray and metal detecting equipment.
· Conduct inspections and evaluations and report thereon in writing.
KNOWLEDGE & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
· Knowledge of observation, guarding and patrolling duties.
· Knowledge of fire-fighting.
· Knowledge of radio and telephone communication.
· Knowledge of bombs, explosive devices and firearms.

To supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Grade 12.
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 4 years’ work experience in corporate cleaning with 2 years in a supervisory role or a team leader.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS
Cleaning Operations Supervision
· Ensure consistent delivery of cleaning services across all facilities to maintain a safe, hygienic, and operationally compliant environment.
· Plan, allocate, and monitor daily cleaning schedules and deep-clean programmes.
· Conduct routine inspections to verify quality standards and corrective actions.
· Ensure readiness of facilities for inspections, audits, visitors, and operational activities.
Waste Removal and Dustbin Clearance
· Supervise and ensure the timely removal of waste from all designated areas to prevent accumulation and maintain hygiene standards.
· Oversee the daily emptying, cleaning, and repositioning of dustbins across facilities.
· Ensure waste is collected and moved to designated disposal points in accordance with procedures.
· Monitor cleanliness of bin storage areas to prevent odours, pests, and health risks.
· Ensure waste removal activities are completed according to scheduled frequencies and operational requirements.
Team Leadership and Performance Management
· Supervise, guide, and support cleaners to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
· Conduct performance monitoring and provide coaching and on-the-job training.
· Ensure attendance, discipline, and adherence to workplace standards.
· Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety consciousness.
Resource and Inventory Management
· Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials and consumables.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide high-level administrative support by overseeing, implementing and introducing measures to ensure the effective operation and service delivery of the support functions as well as secretarial duties in the Office of the Group Executive/COO.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Grade 12
- Degree in Business Administration, Management, Office Administration or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Essential:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in executive administration, office management, or a similar support role
· Proven experience in coordinating executive schedules, meetings, and stakeholder engagements
· Experience in report compilation, data consolidation, and management reporting
· Exposure to financial administration processes, including budget tracking and invoice coordination

CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREA
The incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions but not limited to;
Office Management
- Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
- Compile submissions and reports on behalf of the COO, to serve at the Executive Committee meetings and Board of Directors meetings.
- Establish and oversee record and document management system in the Office of the COO.
- Advise the COO on all pertinent administrative issues.
- Ensure that timely follow-up action is taken and that the COO commitments and agreements are appropriately actioned and met.
Office Administration
· Review and enhance operating practices, workflows, reporting procedures, and expenditure controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
· Design, implement, and maintain structured administrative systems and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient office operations.
· Consolidate inputs to produce monthly and quarterly reports, and monitor expenditure against approved budgets to support financial control and decision-making.
· Coordinate meetings, record and transcribe minutes, and ensure timely distribution of accurate records to support governance and accountability.
Information Management
- Enhance and maintain operational systems and processes to improve management reporting, information flow, and planning effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain integrated master records, databases, and filing systems (electronic and hard copy) to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate recording, classification, and secure management of shared departmental data, maintaining consistency across systems
- Coordinate and process invoice payments, ensuring verification, accuracy, and compliance with approval protocols.
- Implement efficient office systems and uphold strict confidentiality standards in handling sensitive information to support overall team performance.
Secretarial Support to the COO
- Act as the primary liaison between the COO, Group Executives and Department Heads on contractual and operational matters.
- Ensure timely consolidation of operational plans, performance reports, and evidence (PoE) into integrated business reports.
- Develop, update, and maintain plans, progress reports, presentations, and management reports to support executive decision-making.
- Manage executive communications, including email and telephone screening, responses to routine enquiries, and handling confidential correspondence.
- Coordinate and manage the COO’s calendar, documentation, and information flow to ensure alignment, prioritisation, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate office logistics, meeting arrangements, documentation distribution, and general administrative support to enable smooth business operations.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage the Mechanical Section in order to deliver to the client engineering services of maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, manufacturing and operational capability enhancement, testing, setting to work, alignment, acceptance trials and engineering changes of ships and submarine’ s Mechanical Systems, and certify systems operation for vessel combat readiness.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
• To manage the delivery of the engineering services in terms of surveys, testing and diagnostics as well as the maintenance and repair of marine vessels and associated mechanical equipment.
• Resource estimating, planning, scheduling, directing and controlling work and projects within the section.
• Manage section resources for optimum performance to meet or exceed set targets in terms of Safety, Health and Environment, Maintenance and Asset Management, Project Management and Budgets.
• Evaluating Systems performance against set standards and specifications as well as initiating corrective, preventative and proactive measures for optimum performance.
• Formulate personnel development plans to meet current and future needs.
• Develop section plans in line with the overall business plan.
• Perform engineering investigations and implement technological processes and upgrades.
• Leading, supporting and motivating personnel within the LRA and company policy framework.
QUALIFICATIONS
• B. Eng/ B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering degree.
Added advantage:
• Post-graduate Project Management qualification
• A GCC and/or registration with ECSA
EXPERIENCE
• At least 7-9 years post qualification experience in maintenance and repairs in a marine or related engineering environment.
• Minimum 2 years management experience.
• Sound technical Knowledge in the Maintenance and repairs of Mechanical systems.
• Project management experience will be an added advantage.
