(1X EKULINDENI UNIT OFFICE, 1X CAROLINA) 
POST LEVEL: 08 
SALARY SCALE: R 271 876,97- R 307 909,75 
DURATION: PERMANENT 
 
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Grade 10 
  • Grade 12 Certificate will be an added advantage 
  • Computer Literacy 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Be able to work overtime. 
  • Must be able to work on uneven terrain. 
  • Must have at least Code EB Drivers’ license. 
  • 1 year relevant experience. 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
  • Operating and maintenance of water networks 
  • Execution of all plumbing work 
  • Conducting health and safety briefing sessions for subordinates. 
  • Ensuring compliance with personal protective clothing and equipment. 
  • Reporting on safety hazards and incidents to the immediate supervisor 
  • Distributing and explaining work schedules to subordinates 
  • Checking tools and materials for use in line with the work schedule. 
  • Transporting employees to and from work sites.

BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER X03 (RE-ADVERTISEMENT) 
POST LEVEL: 08 
SALARY SCALE: R 271 876,97- R 307 909,75 
DURATION: PERMANENT
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 
  • Grade 12 Certificate 
  • Basic training qualification attained in Law Enforcement from an accredited institution 
  • Code EB Driver’s license. 
  • No criminal record 
  • Firearm proficiency 
  • 2-5 Years relevant experience 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
  • Identifying and documenting by-law contraventions. 
  • Preparing, delivering, and making recommendations through written reports regarding alleged by-law violations. 
  • Ensuring evidence is documented and placed in the appropriate case file. 
  • Representing the Municipality as a witness in all by-laws related prosecution proceedings. 
  • Issuing of notices for non-compliance with municipal by-laws and other prescripts. 
  • Undertaking foot and mobile patrols as directed. 
  • Conducting inspections to ascertain compliance with the municipal by-laws and other prescripts in the following: Businesses, Households, Industries, Taxi ranks
