SPATIAL PORTFOLIO CONSULTANT (RETAIL)

Job Description
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Manager Spatial Portfolio, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Support to the economic modeler function in the preparation of the revenue models with the inputs related with the commercial practice.
- Conduct research and benchmarking analysis for the determination of the best practices for overall portfolio and report the innovation on commercial products and revenue growth.
- Support activities for Retail, Car-rental and Car Parking revenue determination and implementation of Marketing strategies in conjunction with BD Commercial Marketing and relevant Marketing Agency(ies).
- Define technical tender specifications.
- Review contracts/concession agreements in preparation for negotiation with prospective and existing customers.
- Conduct performance reviews on existing contracts and performance of commercial portfolio.
- Obtain, check and refine information.
- Collate and submit reports.
- Run data exception reports and take corrective action.
- Conduct document control spot-checks.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards, policies and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure full compliance.
- Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
- Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
- Provide specialised technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
- Establish a close relationship with the relevant key account and account managers.
- Implement remedial actions where required
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- Bachelors’ Degree (3 years – 360 credits) in Commercial/Property Management/Finance - NQF 7 is essential.
- 5 years Operational Commercial Asset Management experience is essential.
- 3 to 5 years Product design and Innovation/ marketing strategy and airport operations management is recommended.
- MS Office at intermediate level.
- Code B; Motor vehicle licence.

Job Description
Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Electrical Maintenance and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Manage availability, maintenance and safety of electrical infrastructure Tracking the movement of equipment.
- Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
- Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
- Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the asset.
- Ensure and maintain safe and clean working environment (housekeeping).
- Ensure safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Monitor and manage quality of maintenance work.
- Provide input into the development of maintenance planning programmer and execution thereof.
- Execute routine inspections on infrastructure. Utilisation of enterprise asset management system.
- Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
- Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
- Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
- Monitor performance of contractors and service providers according to service level agreement.
- Provide input to and manage allocated budget.
- Coach and mentor junior staff and provide support when required.
- People Management Compile shift rosters and manage time keeping of employees.
- Participate in people development initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, talent management etc. to ensure team performance meet required standards.
- Plan, schedule and supervise / co-ordinate subordinate activities within processes or services to achieve efficiency and quality goals.
- Implementation and execution of projects.
- Coordination of project related activities.
- Provide input into project design.
- Reporting Analyse shift reports and planned work orders. Compile, analyse and submit incident reports.
- Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
- Stakeholder Relations Engage with relevant stakeholders on report findings.
- Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal (peers, unions, team) as well as external (service providers etc.) relationships and implement remedial actions where required to ensure achievement of organisational goals.
- Provide relevant and specialised technical support in area of expertise to relevant stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives.
- Ensure that all affected stakeholders are up to date with the outage activities in their area.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- Diploma in Technical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil (Essential)
- Trade Test in Relevant Area (Essential)
- 3 year’s operational experience in the Maintenance and Projects (Essential)
- 1-2 year’s supervisory experience in the Maintenance and Projects (Essential)
- Code B; Motor vehicle license.
