Job Description
Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Group Executive Commercial & Business Development and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Establish ACSA’s Commercialisation and Property Management Framework and Partnership guidelines.
- Facilitate, plan, develop, implement and monitor the airports’ Property Management strategy based on the network strategy.
- Ensure alignment between the ACSA Property Management strategy and the network as well as individual airport strategies.
- Drive the development of world class facilities for the benefit of all the stakeholders.
- Ensure the alignment and consolidation of the revenue optimization and spatial development strategies across the network.
- Ensure the optimal portfolio mix and corresponding revenue models to maximise revenue and ensure commercial viability.
- Maximize revenue growth and commercial opportunities and support future sustainability of ACSA.
- Increase number of development projects for Commercial Gain within the ACSA Network of airports.
- Supervise on contracting imperatives and objectives at operational and group level and ensure that the relevant prescribed procurement policies, processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Lead the continuous understanding of the market dynamics and ensure solutions that will deliver on ACSA transformation goals.
- Manage the Company’s risk exposure through identifying, implementing and maintenance of risk control measures to minimise the Company’s liability.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
- Interpret business plan and develop commercialization & infrastructure development budgets for the function.
- Assess variances as required and monitor remedial action within span of control.
- Perform trend analysis and internal assurance assessments.
- Develop office management, document control systems and practices.
- Coach team and create a pro-learning environment. Assess team development needs and close gaps.
- Provide specialised technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- Bachelor Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Property and Real Estate Management/Commercial/Operations Management/Business is essential.
- Master’s degree in business administration/management (NQF 9) is advantageous.
- 8 years Industry experience in Property/Real Estate Management experience is essential.
- 4 years middle management experience is essential.
- MS Office at intermediate level.
- Code B; Motor vehicle licence.

Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Airfield Manager Services, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Manage assets replacement (with CAPEX permission) to ensure serviceability and compliance.
- Manage maintenance schedules for vehicles and equipment.
- Manage ARFF compliance to Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) legislation.
- Manage the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Department in conformance to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards and recommended practices, the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) technical standards and to South African Legislation requirements.
- Develop and ensure implementation of Recovery Plan.
- Ensure effectiveness of response with regards to resources (equipment and people) and speed in which resources are brought into operation during emergencies, in line with ICAO standards and recommendations.

- Manage and maintain a high standard of aircraft operational safety on the airfield.
