Introduction
ATNS seeks a candidate to provide administration and maintenance of high-level back-end IT systems and servers in Cape Town server room and nationally as required.
 
Job description
Major Activities
  • Perform and contribute towards the upgrade of ICT systems and ensure that systems software is on the latest acceptable version.
  • Deploy and manage Cloud Infrastructure and services.
  • Administer the Office and Collaboration systems.
  • Respond to all ICT systems services calls effectively and timeously.
  • Serve as an escalation point from and to End User Support team members.
  • Manage and monitor user’s PC’s, Hypervisor software, storage platforms, server platforms, Application publishing, reverse proxy, Active Directory, Backup, file/ print systems at all ATNS sites.
  • Manage and monitor SLAs relating to ICT systems.
  • Analyse user calls and incidents to report on and identify operational trends for future ICT requirements.
  • Maintain the ICT systems resilience through effective management of server platforms and back-up technologies.
  • Ensure the resolution of Support Service issues through the facilitation between stakeholders.
  • Manage ICT systems in line with ITIL and ISO guidelines.
  • Manage and ensure repair practices are adhered to including product warrantees and best practices.
  • Manage knowledge base of common faults experienced by users and their resolution.
  • Administer ICT disaster recovery and backup environments.
  • Administer domain policies to ensure security and integrity.
  • Responsible for implementation of ICT Support Service-related projects according to agreed plan and acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance of the security policy through effective management of security events.
  • Adhere to all IT policies, procedures and standards relating to ICT systems.
  • Ensure and report on IT DRP exercises that are conducted with business on all ICT Support Service systems. 
 
Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • National Diploma in IT or equivalent
  • Certification in:
-      IT Infrastructure and Cloud Services
-      ITIL 
-      Linux (Added advantage)
 
Minimum Experience:
  • 5 years’ experience in the IT environment of which 3 years should be in a senior systems support role looking after the management, operation, maintenance and support of ICT hardware and software systems, which include WAN, LAN, Storage, Servers, desktops, mobile devices, software and cloud systems.

Job description
 
To ensure that all policies and procedures pertaining to procurement and BEE are adhered to. To monitor competency through proficiency assessments and audits to ensure complaints to the BEE and procurement policy. To foresee the adherence of ATNS to the PFMA and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
 
 System enhancement. To develop a criteria for an approved supplier and maintain the approved supplier base. Record the status of all suppliers on a procurement data base and apply relevant criteria. Maintain the BEE score per supplier on the financial system (e.g. excel spreadsheet for quick calculation on BEE). Develop and maintain a BEE procurement statistics report. To develop a user friendly form in terms of supplier verification which will include bank details, vat number and contact person.
 
 Establish an effective relationship with internal and external customers. To establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supplier’s as and when required which will include sites visits should it be required to do so. To negotiate with preferential suppliers for better payments terms and prices.  Identify possible volume purchases at lower prices within certain period. Do tender process on previous identified volume purchases. Evaluate and recommend volume purchases suppliers to System Accountant. Bi annual best quotes obtained as well as quality of goods or services obtained. Reduce number of suppliers: (e.g. assessment on all existing suppliers to check for duplication on services). A needs assessment to ensure that goods or services are acquired in order to deliver the agreed service, ensuring the supplying industry has been analyzed). To monitor and ensure that supplies are reviewed on their performance annually. ATNS BEE approval and annual verification

      B degree /BTech in supply chain management or related
 
Minimum Experience
4-6 Years in procurement – knowledge of current BEE policies, PFMA and other relevant government supply chain management legislations, as well as setting up policies and procedures.
At least 3 years' experience in practicing Public Procurement Regulation as prescribed by the National Treasury/ PFMA/ PPPFA and BBBEE

Job description
System Design and Planning - Review user requirements and provide specialist input; Translate user requirements into functional specifications and assist ETS CNS with technical design specifications; Recommend architecture deployment planning methodologies in support of ETS engineering projects delivery; Support the total asset management framework and policy for specific system area of responsibility; Provide input to RFP specifications and review; Participate in FAT/SAT; Serve on the ATNS corporate design authority on engineering for system area of responsibility; Participate in system architecture and technology forums.
 
Capacity Planning - Analyse and recommend system capacity forecast models based on utilisation trends; Assist in proper planning for capacity expansion projects as well as support the change control process.

  • ECSA Professional Registration as an Engineer will be an advantage
  • Post-graduate qualification in Engineering or Technology Management will be an advantage
 
Minimum Years of Experience:
