AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH COUNCIL (ARC)
The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is a premier science institution that conducts research with partners, develops human capital and fosters innovation in support of the agricultural sector. It provides diagnostic, laboratory, analytical, agricultural engineering services, post-harvest technology development, agrochemical evaluation, consultation and advisory services, food processing technology services as well as various surveys and training interventions. Through its wider network of research campuses and experimental farms, the ARC provides a strong scientific base and a broadly distributed technology transfer capacity to the entire agricultural industry in South Africa.
The ARC-Natural Resources and Engineering (ARC-NRE) seeks to appoint a highly experienced and dynamic person to the following position in Silverton, Pretoria:
CASUAL LABOURERS X 2 – (1) ONE MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
SALARY (R4020.22 PER MONTH)
Key Performance Areas:
Maintenance of assets and infra-structure,
Ensure that assets are well maintained, and structures are well constructed in order to contribute to execution of core business,
Maintenance and use of tools and equipment, some of which are motorized,
Be versatile and capable maintaining, repairing, constructing, assets in various areas such as plumbing, electricity and building,
Handling of solid organic materials during processing and storage,
Adhere to health safety regulations,
Repairs/ project according to job requests.
Requirements:
Grade 12/ Matric qualification,
Experience in occupational health and safety will be added an advantage.
