Remuneration : R861 618.00 per annum

Purpose of the job
To support Agrément South Africa in achieving its objects, as per Agrément South Africa Act, Act 11 of 2015. To provide leadership and strategic direction to the Research & Development Department of ASA, fulfil its core functions of assessment, certification, quality control and research and development of non-standardised and innovative construction products and systems.
Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Broadening the geographic footprint of non-standardised construction related products and systems
• Providing assurance to specifiers and users of the fitness-for-purpose of non-standardised construction related products or systems
• Supporting policy makers in minimizing risks associated with the use of a non-standardised construction related product or system
• Supporting and promoting the introduction and use of certified products and systems
• Development & review of R&D operating procedures & research framework
• Assessing the impact of Agrément South Africa (ASA) innovative construction products and systems
• Development and maintenance of ASA evaluation criteria
• Stakeholder engagements and management
• Mentoring and coaching of Researchers & Research Specialists
• Delivery of technical presentations to stakeholders
Qualifications
• A Degree in the Built Environment discipline
• 6 years’ work experience in the relevant field
• Experience in research work
• 2- 3 years’ Project Management experience
Added advantage:
A Post Graduate Degree in a built environment discipline
